The honest people in the crowd who had a LoveOfTheTruth understood and received the hope depite the condemnation in the sermon.
But, the self-righteous ScribesPhariseesAndHypocrites rejected the condemnation and refused to hope in Jesus.
The prophetic aspect of this sermon is redemption of the Spirit, soul and body - part of which happened at Jesus death and resurrection with the other part happening at His return.
To place Jesus` teaching in their proper light we must understand the difference between SpiritSalvation and SoulSalvation. Otherwise, we will live our lives in frustration between the ideal that we are in the NewSpirit being and the practical that we are in corruptible flesh and mind.
