It is likely that verses Mat 24:15-20 are speaking to the destruction of the temple in 70 AD and not to the end of the age.   The temple is a fixture of the OldCovenant.   There is no Jewish temple today.<p>It is important to note that the BodyOfChrist is the Temple of the HolySpirit. The Lord is no longer concerned about buildings (if He ever was). <p>This verse is telling us to watch for the rise of the SpiritOfAntichrist identified by its legitimization of abominations.  These abominations will automatically bring about the destruction (or desolation) of the AntichristKingdom.<p>When we see wickedness in HighPlaces (SevenMountains) we are to stand in the Word and HolySpirit - the holy place.  Our redemption is at hand.
