The reason that the Lord did not want man to make an image of Him is that He would make His own image and He would call Himself Jesus.<p>Any other attempt to visualize the Lord other than by His express image would by default be false.   It would result in man imagining what the Lord wanted to say and do rather than the Lord revealing Himself in Truth.
