In this verse Jesus states that He is IAm. The `he` that appears in the KJV was inserted with the intent of clarity but it totally changed the meaning. Joh 14:9
This injection of the word ^he^ along with the use of ^and^ instead of ^even^ in other places where the Father and Son are mentioned was a result of the translators not understanding, or at least not believing, that Jesus is MightyGod. They rather believed that Jesus was an associate of the MightyGod. See trinitarianism.
