David asked for the Lord to lighten his eyes so that he can see the victory that the Lord has provided.  Without the vision of victory defeat is inevitable.<p>So, here is the process: -> we call on the LordJesusChrist -> He enlightens us by His Word and HolySpirit -> we go forth in faith, confident of victory.<p>Unless we partner with our Lord, the enemy will get the better of us, holding us in disdain.
