Paul is making it clear that our body should be used by the HolySpirit. Our body is corrupted and corruptible so it is just a vehicle for communicating the Gospel. It will have to be translated to incorruptible at His appearing for it to enter the KingdomOfHeaven 1Co 15:50.
Since you are a NewSpirit being InChrist, the challenge is to invert the order of dominance in your life.
Rather than being motivated by the flesh first, emotions second and spirit third, you should be motivated by the NewSpirit which directs your soul which controls your body.
The HolySpirit and your NewSpirit are one.
By following the new order of spirit, soul then body, the HolySpirit is able to direct your life, using your body as His vehicle just as He did our Lord Jesus Christ.
For this new order to be effected, your mind (soul) must be transformed to the MindOfChrist.
