Yes, we are expected to Hate Evil - not to laugh it, Condone it or Enable it.  We are expected to Judge Sin, to Reprove, Rebuke and Exhort the Sinner.  When we do so, the HolySpirit brings Revelation of Salvation in Christ Jesus to the Sinner.
