God created us to CHOOSE to be like Him because to be like God you must choose to be good, to love, to create and to give.
Those who choose NOT to be like God fall into the hands of Satan who chose to BE God without being like Him.
Sickness, disease, insanity, violence and death came out of the bad choices humans have made.
Christ Jesus ( God in flesh) has justified man's forgiveness for foolish rebellion but to secure the forgiveness one must repent (turn from self-worship to Christ-worship).
Those who receive the second chance become like God while those who foolishly reject the free gift of Eternal Life end up in Eternal Death.
And that is the rest of the story.
