Title: How do we come to know the Holy Spirit?

To the trinitarian the Holy Spirit is a distinct person of the Godhead.

Since every person we have ever known has had their own personality, their own likes, and their own dislikes we naturally need to concern ourselves with what makes the Holy Spirit a unique person.

Knowing the Holy Spirit will enable us to please Him.   Unless we know the Holy Spirit we will likely not be pleasing Him.   But how do we get to know the Holy Spirit?

How do we come to know 3 Gods?
How do we please 3 Gods?

No worries!   There is only 1 God and His name is Jesus.

The concept of 3 persons that are not really 3 persons but 1 person makes no sense.   So toss it aside and listen to the Word.

Every Christian believes that God is omnipresent .
The Word tells us that God is Spirit .

So, we understand that God cannot be fully contained in a single body.
For in him dwells all the fulness of divinity bodily.
Our Creator is Spirit And Word .      He is the Holy Spirit of Christ Jesus.     He is Spirit Soul And Body manifested in the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Holy Spirit impregnated Mary .      Hence, Jesus is the Son of the Holy Spirit.     That makes the Holy Spirit the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The Holy Spirit made Himself a body to relate to the physical creation .      That body we call Jesus.

When Jesus spoke He spoke the words of the Holy Spirit Father.     When Jesus healed and set free, He was doing the works of the Holy Spirit Father.     The Holy Spirit Father was in Jesus .

So, we see that the annointing that made Jesus the Christ, is the Holy Spirit who fathered Him, who spoke through Him, who empowered Him and who ultimately raised Him from the dead .

There is One Lord and He is Spirit And Word - He is Christ Jesus.

In order for this omnipresent God who we refer to as Holy Spirit to minister to mere humans He had to take on human flesh.
Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit.
Faith in the virgin birth is necessary for believing properly in Jesus.     If Jesus was born of of sinful man he would have been disqualified as Saviour.

It is also necessary for you to believe in the deity of Jesus in order to be saved.     He is the express image of the Father.     He is the one who has all power in heaven and earth.     He is the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father and the Prince Of Peace.

But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, you son of David, fear not to take unto you Mary your wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.
Jesus was fathered by the Holy Spirit.     Later when we hear Jesus talk about the Father, He is talking about the Holy Spirit.

But when the fulness of the time was come, the Holy Spirit sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,
The Holy Spirit ( Spirit Of God) imparted Himself into human flesh and the Soul Of God was manifested In Christ Jesus.

It becomes clear that the Father of Christ Jesus is the eternal, omnipresent Holy Spirit.
Believe you not that I am in the Holy Spirit Father, and the Holy Spirit Father in me?     the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Holy Spirit Father that dwells in me, he does the works.
How can Jesus be in the Father and the Father be in Him?
Understand who the Father is.     He is a Spirit.     He is the Holy Spirit.     The Holy Spirit fills the universe and beyond.     But He birthed the body of Jesus and annointed Him to be Messiah - He filled the body of Jesus.

Jesus spoke what the Holy Spirit inspired Him to speak.     Jesus reached out to heal and deliver those whom the Holy Spirit empowered Him to bless.

Just as the disciples and others of Jesus` day could not look past the physical form of Jesus and see the Father, likewise today, people cannot see past our physical form to see the Father in us.

What is even worse is that many of us cannot look past our own physical form to realize Christ in us the expectation of the Father`s glory being manifested in and through us.

Greater works shall we do because the Father has made His abode in us.     We are filled with the Holy Spirit.

Father is a role.     It is not the name of a being.     The name of the Father is Christ Jesus.     (For that matter, the name of the Holy Spirit is Christ Jesus).     But Jesus was clarifying how He, as a man, was able to do what He did and say what He said.

The Holy Spirit is the Father of Jesus.     He is the one who impregnated Mary.     He is the One who inspires and implements the Word.

So, Jesus being the Word speaks and interacts with those in the Physical Realm, while the Holy Spirit from the Spirit Realm ( Heaven) inspires Jesus to speak and then performs the works that Jesus does.

The Holy Spirit and the Word are One.     You cannot separate them.     If you try to you will either have the Word or the Power and neither will be effective.     The Word speaks the purpose, while the Power achieves the purpose.     The Holy Spirit and Word are inseparable.

This verse makes it very clear that Jesus is speaking and working at the unction of His Holy Spirit.

So, how do know the Holy Spirit?   We listen to Jesus who is His incarnation, who is His body.

If this is worrisome to you as a trinitarian, listen to what Jesus said in
And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted.
Notice that the disciples worshipped Jesus.     This is saying that they believed in Jesus as Creator.     Note also that Jesus did not prevent this worship.     This is an acknowledgement of His deity.

Some worshipped Jesus as Mighty God and some didn`t.     This will always be the case.     Some will believe while others doubt.     Since it is by Grace Through Faith In Christ Jesus that we receive His blessings, those who believe, receive, while those who doubt, go without.

And Jesus came and spoke unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
Who gave Jesus this power and authority?
His Holy Spirit Father who had birthed Him, annointed Him and raised Him from the dead is the source of all things and Jesus is His express image.

Remember:
Jesus is the eternal Word in flesh and
the Word is inseparable from the Holy Spirit .

If all power in heaven and earth belongs to Christ Jesus there is no power or authority left for any other being in the universe.
This means that He and He alone is
    Mighty God
    Everlasting Father
    Saviour
    Lord
    King .

This verse speaks to the singleness of God as manifested in Christ Jesus.     In the next verse Jesus tells us to teach and baptize people in His name as He is the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Go you therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the One who begets, even the One begotten, who is the Holy Spirit Father
In the preceding verse Jesus categorically states that He is God by assuming all power in the universe.     In this verse He identifies the eternal, omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent Creator God who is Spirit by His name, Jesus.
    Jesus is Lord.
Jesus is the Express Image of the Holy Spirit Father
Jesus is the One and Only True And Living God.

We are to teach all nations.     What do we teach?
The Gospel of Jesus Christ - the Gospel of the Truth about God.

What is the key component of the Gospel?     That Jesus is the Truth about our Creator.

What is the Truth?     That Jesus is the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Note that name is singular - there is only one name and that is Jesus.

But how can Jesus be the Father and the Son?     To understand this we must know who the Father is.     He is the Holy Spirit.

Jesus said `I and my Father are One`.     This means that the Holy Spirit Father is the Spirit Of Christ Jesus.     Jesus spoke through the prophets about Himself by His Holy Spirit.     He then became the person He prophesied about - Jesus.

Jesus fathered Himself by His Holy Spirit, just as He raised Himself from the dead by His Holy Spirit.

So, rather than talking about some confusing trinitarian circular logic involving a three-in-one godhead, we aught to recognize
that Jesus is the Name Of The Father,
that Jesus is the Name Of The Son and
that Jesus is the Name Of The Holy Spirit.

The name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit is Jesus.

Jesus instructed us to use His name when speaking to His Holy Spirit Father in us.     He said `ask the Father in my name`.     Referring to a person by name adds precision and honor to the address.

Our Creator is Spirit Soul And Body just as we are who were created in His image.

Jesus is Lord!
Be Baptized In The Name Of Jesus Christ

Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.     Amen.
Notice that Jesus said we are to teach what He has said - not what the Father or Holy Spirit says.     Why?
Because He, Jesus, is the voice, the image of the Holy Spirit Father, the Incarnate Word.

So we see that it is in teaching that believers are `immersed` (baptised) into Him.

He is saying make disciples of the believers and that He will never forsake us.
But He did forsake us.     He ascended to Heaven.
However, He sent us His Holy Spirit who is His essence and power.

`All things` means that what Jesus told the original disciples was not just for them but for all men for all time.

In these verses Jesus is worshipped, He claims all power in the universe, He tells His disciples to baptize people in His name, to teach them His Words.   Lastly, He tells them that He will abide with them forever.

This last statement indicates quite clearly that the Holy Spirit is speaking these words through Christ Jesus who is His express image.

The Holy Spirit revealed Himself to the world and reconciled the world to Himself in the body of Christ Jesus.

To know Christ Jesus is to know His Holy Spirit.

The HolySpirit's name is Jesus.
