Title: The uniqueness of God and His demand for honor above all others

You shall have no other gods before me.
Who is the `me` that is speaking?
    It is preincarnate Christ Jesus

The Lord Jesus Christ is preeminent and He must be preeminent in us in order for us to be accepted by Him.

Not understanding that Jesus is the `God` who speaks throughout the Bible is the cause of much confusion and weakness in the Body Of Christ.

This verse is echoed in the New Testament verses: .

The mystery of God is revealed in .

explains that the eternal, omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent God is Soul and Spirit.     It goes on to explain that the Soul Of God was made flesh and dwelt among us.

We know that the Holy Spirit Father filled Christ Jesus to the extent that He said: 'I and my Father are One' .

Jesus is Spirit Soul And Body just as we are who were created in His image .

Jesus is the Spirit Soul And Body of God.

Give all praise, glory and honor unto Christ Jesus as the One and Only True And Living God.

When you couple this verse with the following:
Hear, O Israel: the Lord our Lord is one Lord:
How much plainer can it be made?     There are not three gods or persons, there is only one being who is Lord and His name is Jesus.

Jesus Is Lord

When you read or hear the word, Lord, think Jesus.

We see that God is 1.   He is not 3.   He is not a Trinity.

When we read this verse we understand that God is a Spirit.
God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
Jesus is Spirit Soul And Body just like we are .
We are created in the image of God, so
God is Spirit Soul And Body.

This verse reveals to us that God is first and foremost Spirit
    He is the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit is the Father of Christ Jesus.
Jesus and the Father are one.
Jesus is the express image of His Holy Spirit
    Jesus is God.

Any Worship that does not acknowledge the Holy Spirit does not acknowledge the Lord Jesus Christ.     Such worship is futile.

The Word Of The Lord is Truth.

Any Worship that does not honour the Truth does not acknowledge the Lord Jesus Christ.     Such worship is futile.

The trinitarian will argue that there is a Father, Son and Holy Spirit constituting a trinity.

Father is a role.   It is not the name of a person.   Actually the word 'Father' could have and should have been translated as 'begetter'.

A begetter is one who brings forth.

Son is a role.   It is not the name of a person.   Son could have and should have been translated as 'begotten'.

And so we are left with Holy Spirit.   As said above, God is a Spirit.   He is the Holy Spirit.   But Holy Spirit is not the name of a person.
He is the inspiration for the Word.   So He is the Truth.
He is the one who begot Jesus Christ .    So He is the Father.
He is the one expresses Himself in Christ Jesus.   So He is the Son.

The name of the Holy Spirit Father is Jesus.

When we understand that there never has been but One God and that He is Spirit and that He made Himself a body of flesh and He incarnated Himself in that body we understand what He was telling us through the mouth of our Lord Jesus Christ in the following verses.
And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted.
Notice that the disciples worshipped Jesus.     This is saying that they believed in Jesus as Creator.     Note also that Jesus did not prevent this worship.     This is an acknowledgement of His deity.

Some worshipped Jesus as Mighty God and some didn`t.     This will always be the case.     Some will believe while others doubt.     Since it is by Grace Through Faith In Christ Jesus that we receive His blessings, those who believe, receive, while those who doubt, go without.

And Jesus came and spoke unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
Who gave Jesus this power and authority?
His Holy Spirit Father who had birthed Him, annointed Him and raised Him from the dead is the source of all things and Jesus is His express image.

Remember:
Jesus is the eternal Word in flesh and
the Word is inseparable from the Holy Spirit .

If all power in heaven and earth belongs to Christ Jesus there is no power or authority left for any other being in the universe.
This means that He and He alone is
    Mighty God
    Everlasting Father
    Saviour
    Lord
    King .

This verse speaks to the singleness of God as manifested in Christ Jesus.     In the next verse Jesus tells us to teach and baptize people in His name as He is the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Go you therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, even the Son, even the Holy Spirit:
We are to teach all nations.     What do we teach?
The Gospel of Jesus Christ - not the Gospel of God.

What is the key component of the Gospel?     That Jesus is the Truth about our Creator.

What is the Truth?     That Jesus is the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Note that name is singular - there is only one name and that is Jesus.

But how can Jesus be the Father and the Son?     To understand this we must know who the Father is.     He is the Holy Spirit.

Jesus said `I and my Father are One`.     This means that the Holy Spirit Father is the Spirit Of Christ Jesus.     Jesus spoke through the prophets about Himself by His Holy Spirit.     He then became the person He prophesied about - Jesus.

Jesus fathered Himself by His Holy Spirit, just as He raised Himself from the dead by His Holy Spirit.

So, rather than talking about some confusing trinitarian circular logic involving a three-in-one godhead, we aught to recognize
that Jesus is the Name Of The Father,
that Jesus is the Name Of The Son and
that Jesus is the Name Of The Holy Spirit.

The name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit is Jesus.

Jesus instructed us to use His name when speaking to His Holy Spirit Father in us.     He said `ask the Father in my name`.     Referring to a person by name adds precision and honor to the address.

Our Creator is Spirit Soul And Body just as we are who were created in His image.

Jesus is Lord!
Be Baptized In The Name Of Jesus Christ

Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.     Amen.
Notice that Jesus said we are to teach what He has said - not what the Father or Holy Spirit says.     Why?
Because He, Jesus, is the voice, the image of the Holy Spirit Father, the Incarnate Word.

So we see that it is in teaching that believers are `immersed` (baptised) into Him.

He is saying make disciples of the believers and that He will never forsake us.
But He did forsake us.     He ascended to Heaven.
However, He sent us His Holy Spirit who is His essence and power.

`All things` means that what Jesus told the original disciples was not just for them but for all men for all time.

When we look at the last phrase of the above scripture - I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world - we understand clearly that the Holy Spirit was speaking of Himself.   Jesus left the earth but His Holy Spirit was poured out upon all believers.   It was in that outpouring and the Holy Spirit abiding in each believer that that statement was fulfilled.

We are to worship the Holy Spirit whose name is Jesus, whose body is in heaven awaiting direction to return and establish His physical kingdom on earth.

By virtue of what Christ Jesus did for us we are now One with the eternal Holy Spirit who walked this earth as Jesus and who abides in us as Jesus.

Worship Christ Jesus who lives and abides forever!   Have no other Gods before Him.   Give Him all praise and glory and honour.
