Title: What makes trinitarianism a cult?

To address the issue of trinitarianism being a cult one must define the premise by which a departure from such is the basis for being a cult.

What is the basis of Christianity?
It is the fact that there is a God .
If is the fact that God created all things .
It is the fact that God is unique .
It is the fact that God manifested Himself in Christ Jesus .
It is the fact that Christ Jesus is the only One who can save .
It is the fact that Christ Jesus has all power in heaven and earth .
It is the fact that Christ Jesus is the Righteous Judge of all humanity .
It is the fact that Christ Jesus is Mighty God .
It is the fact that Christ Jesus is King Of Kings and Lord Of Lords .

Essentially Christianity is the recognition that Jesus is the only Truth about God and the only image of God.

It is important to realize that the doctrine (error) of the trinity was concocted almost 300 years after Jesus ascended to heaven.
The Council of Nicaea in 325 confirmed the Trinity as official church doctrine.

For the past 1700 years most of Christianity assumed the doctrine to be true even though it is not spelled out in scripture.

For 1100 years the doctrine could not be challenged because there was only 1 church - the Catholic church which maintained that doctrine.

It should be noted that during that time the scriptures were available only to the ascetics who learned Greek and Aramaic to enable the scriptures to be read and studied.

Since a person's standing in Christianity was determined solely by the one and only Catholic Church it was not a good career move to challenge their doctrines.

After the reformation and the translation and printing of the scriptures many eyes were cast upon the scriptures to come to an understanding of Grace and to question other Catholic doctrines.

Yes, there were those who challenged the doctrine of the Trinity.   Michael Servetus was one such Christian who came into disfavor amongst Protestants for denying the efficacy of infant baptism and for denying the doctrine of the Trinity.

Michael was burned at the stake under the auspices of John Calvin who promoted the doctrine of the Trinity.   You can imagine how few others would make such a big deal about that doctrine when the literal 'stakes' were so high.

And so, the Catholic doctrine of the Trinity was assumed by most Protestant Churches.

So what is so bad about the trinitarian doctrine?
    3 persons is 3 people
    3 persons is 3 gods
    3 gods is polytheism
it denies that the Holy Spirit is uniquely God
it denies that the Holy Spirit is the Father
it denies that the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Jesus
it denies that Jesus is the unique Mighty God
it denies that the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Christ in us
it promotes the concept of a 'super God' to whom Jesus defers

This last bullet is a big one.   No one has any clue about this 'super God' who does things in mysterious ways that none of us has ever seen or even heard from except through Jesus, his 'emissary'.

If Jesus is the One and Only True and Mighty God, then this 'super God' to whom Jesus defers as an emissary, is none other than 'a god before Me' that is strictly forbidden in the first commandment .

Now if this 'super God' is the one speaking in then Jesus must de facto be a lesser God.   Otherwise all Christians are violating the first commandment.

But if Jesus is a lesser God then He is a liar as He said 'all power in heaven and earth is given to Me' .

Do you see the conundrum that the trinitarian doctrine puts us in?   Those who believe in the trinitarian doctrine are unable to place all their faith in 'God' and they are also unable to place all their faith in Jesus.

I have actually heard a person praying to God and Jesus.   How much clearer can it be that the person speaking this prayer believes that there are at least 2 gods.

Let's just pick on this concept of praying to two gods.   Which one will recognize the fact that they specifically were being addressed?   Which one will take responsibility for answering the prayer?

Now I know that in trinitarianism there is the belief that these gods are 'three in one'.   But what if there are others in this consortium of gods than just the 3 we know about?   I mean it is possible.

This is foolishness.   It is confusion and our God is NOT the author of confusion .

But Jesus told us to 'talk to the Father in His name', didn't He?   Doesn't that mean there is at least the Father and the Son - 2 persons?   Not at all, Jesus was telling us to recognize that the One who begets, the Holy Spirit, is to be referred to by His name - Jesus.

Not understanding that human beings are Spirit Soul And Body creates much confusion and misunderstanding about ourselves.   Since we were created in the image of God it means that God is also Spirit Soul And Body incarnating and manifesting Himself in Christ Jesus.

There is not a Spirit-God, a Soul-God and a Body-God.   There is One God who is Spirit Soul And Body whose name is Jesus.

Christianity has as its root word, Christ, whom we know by the name of Jesus.   So, to be a Christian you must not just take Jesus as your Saviour, you must also take Him as your One and Only Mighty God.

If you attempt to bring Jesus into your trinitarian Godhead He ceases to be King Of Kings and Lord Of Lords sharing His glory with others.   That is what all cults do.   They deny all glory to Christ Jesus in one way or another.

Now let's address the other major point condemning trinitarianism: Most trinitarian believers deny Spirit Baptism which John the Baptist identified as Jesus' mission and which Jesus commanded His disciples to receive .

The Holy Spirit is the Spirit Of Christ Jesus.   There are not multiple Spirits .    Jesus commanded us to worship Him in Spirit and in Truth .    The Truth is His Word.   The Spirit is His Spirit.   So, those who would try to worship God ( Jesus) apart from His Holy Spirit are failing to worship Him correctly.

Furthermore, the Holy Spirit Of Christ Jesus is the power of Christ Jesus so that those who are not filled with His Holy Spirit do not have His power.

The Holy Spirit is not a separate person in the Godhead.
He is the Spirit Of Christ Jesus.
He is not optional.
He is the One who enables us to be One with Christ Jesus and to do the works of Christ Jesus.

I hope you see by now that the smorgasboard of gods in the Trinity are an illusion created by Satan to deflect glory from Christ Jesus and to simultaneously weaken believers by fragmenting their concept of God.

Satan is the father of liars.   He is the great deceiver.   He preys upon human understanding.   He hates humanity.   Trinitarianism is his child, slipped in on Carnal Minded believers and folded into church tradition.

Do not be deceived.

Do not be weakened by false doctrine.

Do not find yourself serving a false god.

Either Jesus is Lord of all or He is not Lord at all.

Jesus Is Lord!
