But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel. 1Ti 5:8 Our circle is our main responsibility.

And, you fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Eph 6:4 Do not be overbearing because of your rank.     Be considerate and patient while being firm with your children.      Most of all, teach them about the Lord`s love for them and His desire for a personal relationship with them by which they will enjoy abundant life.      Those parents who fail to connect their children to the Lord are guilty of sending them out into the world in confusion and deception which is essentially directing them to hell

However, Jesus made it clear than His natural mother and his natural siblings were not as precious to Him as those who received and followed Him as Lord and Saviour.   

Then one said unto him, Behold, your mother and your brothers stand without, desiring to speak with you. Mat 12:47

But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother?     and who are my brothers? Mat 12:48 Jesus knew that the people would look through natural eyes to find those who they had mental images of as Jesus`s mother and brothers.

And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brothers! Mat 12:49 So, Jesus looking through Spriritual eyes saw His disciples (followers) and claimed them as His family.

For whoever shall do the will of my Father who is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother. Mat 12:50 The criteria for being in the family of the Lord is laid out here.     hearing the Word, receiving the Word and doing the Word makes a person a member of the Lord`s family,

This tells us very clearly that our natural family is to be less esteemed than the Family Of God.   Obviously we want every member of our natural family to receive Christ and be a part of the Family Of God.   But, those who resist Christ will be a drag on our spiritual health and productivity if we allow their unbelief to prevent us from being obedient to Christ.   

And he said unto them, Go you into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. Mar 16:15 This is the Great Commission.     It is still in force.     We are expected to carry the Gospel to every creature.      Jesus did not expect every person to believe, but He wants us to make sure all nations hear the Gospel as it is a criteria for His return.     Mat 24:14
