We are all familiar with aspects of dimensions in the physical world - length, breadth, height and time.
But how familiar are we with the dimensions of the Spirit Realm?
In this verse Jesus tells us a little about the dimensions of the Spirit Realm - Eternal Life and Abundant Life.
The Eternal Life dimension is very gratifying for us because we all face physical death.
But the Abundant Life dimension is where the real power of that realm manifests.
No one would want to live forever in the limited life of human physical existence. We have all seen the tee-shirts saying: "Been there and done that.". At some point, we seem to exhaust the thrill of experience when it is simply repeated.
Our physical existence is extremely restricted. It takes time, effort and resources to experience anything. These restrictions are a source of great annoyance and disappointment.
So, despite the fact that our physical existence is for a brief time, the real obstacles to abundant life are simply part of our humanity.
Enter Jesus!
As we see in , Jesus has eliminated the time element in our New Spirit life. We are now eternal. Furthermore, He enables us to experience Abundant Life.
It is the Abundant Life dimension that is most important. Remember, God is the great "I AM", When the scriptures say He is eternal, He is the beginning and end, the first and the last, they are telling us that God is always in the present. He is eternally present. He is in the now.
Our ability to enjoy life in the physical realm is limited as said above. But one of the worst limitations is that we are never quite in the present. Not being in the present means that the quality of your experience is less than it should be because our minds and attention are divided.
Jesus wants us to be intensely in the present tensity.just as our heavenly Father is. So one of the attributes of Abundant Life is focus. Another is intensity. We know how important focus and intensity are to artistic and athletic performers. And even among equally talented performers, the ones who rise to the highest levels of acclaim are those who never lose focus or intensity.
What we lack in natural focus and intensity, the Holy Spirit is able to make up for. Remember, Jesus came not just to redeem us by taking our punishment upon himself so we can be forgiven, but that was to prepare us to receive the Holy Spirit.
My soul cleaveth unto the dust: quicken thou me according to thy word. |
So we see that we are quickened (made to experience Abundant Life) by the Word Of God and the Spirit Of God. Both the Word and the Holy Spirit are made available to us by Christ Jesus so that His purpose in coming was accomplished.
What we have to do is draw near to God. And we do this by meditating on His Word and praying in His Spirit. Such a commitment enables the Abundant Life of Christ Jesus to manifest in us.
When we are in the Word and in the Spirit we are focused and we are intense because they quicken us. We are walking and talking in the dimension of the Spirit Realm.
There are other dimensions to the Spirit Realm than focus and intensity. There is supernatural faith - faith that literally and totally believes the Word Of God, faith that is convinced beyond a shadow of doubt that God loves us, and faith that Grace is our sufficiency and provides for our greatest desires.
Don`t be a settler and fail to step into the Spirit Realm where your New Spirit is waiting for your consciousness to arrive.
