For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of the Holy Spirit: Eph 2:8 We are saved because the Holy Spirit willed it Heb 8:12 and made it possible and legal through the shed blood of Jesus Christ Heb 10:10 Salvation is totally an act of His unmerited favor - Grace.     Our part is to have faith in His Word - the Written Word and the Incarnate Word Act 16:31 We have all been given The Measure Of Faith Rom 12:3 It is that gift of faith than enables us to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ through whom we receive Grace 2Pe 1:3 Once we believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, the Faith Of Christ which is a fruit of His Holy Spirit provides all the benefits of Grace Rom 5:2 The Faith Of Christ is the foundation of Grace Rom 5:19 We are not supposed to trust in our faith but, rather, trust in the Faith Of Christ - the faith that is the fruit of the Holy Spirit Phi 2:8-11

That if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that His Holy Spirit has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. Rom 10:9 This is the encapsulation of Grace, clearly pointing out our part which is faith in Jesus and confession of Him as risen Lord and Saviour.      The implication of our part being to believe on Jesus Christ and confess Him as risen Lord, is that He has done everything else!      It is why we call it amazing Grace!      It is why the gospel is nearly too good to be true!      Who raised Jesus from the dead?      He raised Himself Joh 10:17,18 by His Holy Spirit Rom 8:11

For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Rom 10:10 It is Heart Faith that enables the miracle of the New Birth.      It is our personal confession of Jesus as Mighty God, Creator and loving Saviour that seals that miracle.

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of the Holy Spirit is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Rom 6:23 The sin that condemns to the Lake Of Fire is rejection of Jesus Christ Joh 3:18 The gift of the Lord Jesus is His own Eternal Life, which is relationship with His Holy Spirit Joh 5:26 There are two types of death:    ➛ physical death Heb 9:27    ➛ spiritual death Rev 21:8 Adam and Eve did not immediately die physically when they sinned.     However, they immediately died spiritually Gen 2:17 When a person sins, whether believer or unbeliever, the result is an aspect of death.     Somethings shrinks or shrivels instead of growing when sin occurs Joh 10:10 Jesus gives us His life.      What is His life?         ➛ His Holy Spirit Joh 1:4 Eternal Life is another name for His Holy Spirit.      To reject the Holy Spirit Of Christ Jesus is to reject Christ Jesus Himself Joh 8:19 Act 7:51 We don`t receive Jesus when we believe on Him.     Rather, we receive His Holy Spirit in the Name Of Jesus who manifests Eternal Life in and through us Joh 3:5 1Jn 4:2 The Holy Spirit Of Christ Jesus is who will raise us at Christ`s return Rom 8:11 The gift of Himself is irrevokable Joh 14:16 However, if we let sin reign in our mortal bodies we will suffer the consequences of that sin destroying our physical lives, our testimonies and our walk with the Lord Col 1:10 Instead of us living a victorious, productive life with treasure laid up in heaven, we will be saved as by fire 1Cor 5:5

And it shall come to pass, that whoever shall call on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ shall be saved. Act 2:21 The `name of the Lord` is Jesus    ⇒ Jesus Is Lord Christ Jesus has forgiven and remitted all sin for all mankind for all time.      But each person must come to grips with the fact that they need to receive that forgiveness by calling upon the Name Of Jesus.     In so doing they escape death and enter into eternal, abundant life.

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 2Pe 3:9 The Holy Spirit is love and His love is manifest in Christ who made it possible for us to be born of His Holy Spirit and so be In Christ.      But, He gives us the choice between life and death.     When a person receives Christ Jesus they receive Eternal Life.     When a person rejects Christ Jesus they enter into Eternal Death against the Lord`s will.      This verse totally undermines the false doctrine of Extreme Sovereignty.     We do not see all men coming to repentance so the Lord`s will is not done with respect to every human being.
