Money is simply a medium of exchange for things of
value.
Bartering and trading work only to the extent that the differences in values of the items being traded is insignificant. If there is a significant difference between the two then money is exchanged to even out the transaction.
In a large economy it is necessary to use money to expedite transactions and support accounting.
Since money is non-perishable, easy to carry and accepted throughout the economy it is a great tool.
Hence, there is nothing inherently evil in money.
It is the Love Of Money which results in evil.
theft, fraud, cheating, taxation are all manifestations of the evil that results from the Love Of Money.
Coveting is a mortal sin which destroys the person whose heart is oriented toward it.
Just because a thing may be used for evil does not mean we should consider the thing evil.
Wealth and prosperity come by operating in the Law of Sowing And Reaping. the Lord wants us to take advantage of His laws to experience Abundant Life.
So sow that you may reap. And then use the money that comes to you for the Kingdom Of God.
The
USA was formed for the fundamental
purpose of providing for the common
defense of the constituent
states. Whenever a product or
service is provided resources are needed.
Taxation was the necessary
evil implemented to
provide those resources for the common
defense.
Unfortunately, wicked men, posing as benevolent men, have morphed the power to tax into the power to redistribute income.
What is the motivation for income redistribution? Covetousness.
Some citizens believe that they are entitled to what other citizens possess.
Think about that.
Socialism is nothing more than an ideology of covetousness.
The people at the top of socialism are typically lazy and incompetent. Those two negative attributes provide the negative impetus to take from others rather than being productive themselves.
Obviously, everyone can't be a socialist because there would be no producers of products and services. But the selfish, covetous person is not concerned with others. They are not concerned with the general welfare. They are only concerned for themselves.
The ideological divide in our country is between those who are covetous and those who are not.
As Americans have moved away from God they have become more covetous and so more socialist.
Covetousness destroys the individual and it destroys the nation who subscribes to it.
