Chanting has likely occurred in every culture to some extent.   However, it took deep root in Africa which retarded the continent's advancement.   

Slaves brought chanting to America where it merged with western forms of music.   

In the past 40 years chanting divorced itself from western music to become its own genre called rap.   

It is no wonder that 99% of rap lyrics are wicked since chanting by nature is an invitation to evil spirits.   

As to considering it music...   
Picking a single note and beating it to death with childish rhyming and inane lyrics is not Music.   

To Listen to such noise and make multi-millionnaires out of the purveyors is an Abomination.   

Insanity has to be the result of subjecting oneself to the steady drumming while trying to make sense of the nonsensical.   

Rap is an Evil product of Pagan Black Culture.   

I remember seeing film footage of primitive African tribes who had not bern exposed to Western Civilization.   
The tribe was "carrying on" to a drum beat around a fire in loin cloths and their women with bared bosoms.   

We have allowed the Pagan to supplant the Christian higher order of life on many fronts.   But Rap is probably the most destructive element that has been resurrected from the Pagan world.
