We were dead and now we are alive in Christ Jesus.   
And you has he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
The `he` in this verse is the Holy Spirit.     He is the quickener - the One who makes us alive.     

The Sin Nature that our spirit became because of Original Sin resulted in death .      That is why Jesus said we must be Born Again .     

Thank Christ Jesus we are forgiven and made alive by His Holy Spirit who were once dead.     

It is His Holy Spirit in us who makes us spiritually alive which, in turn, excites our minds and energizes our bodies.     

And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, has he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
Forever forgiven and redeemed.     
Forever made alive in the New Spirit.     

This is the amazing Grace of the Lord.     
This is the Gospel of Jesus Christ.     
Believe it, receive it, walk in it and experience His love, joy and peace.
