To wear the Holy Spirit
For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
We know that not every person who participates in Water Baptism has put on Christ.

Putting on Christ is being baptized (immersed) In Christ.
    absorbing His Word
    being Spirit Filled

Coming into Christ means that we begin to look like Christ.   Let`s consider the context of this statement:

For you are all the children of the Lord by faith in Christ Jesus.
This is one of the most glorious statements in the Bible.

For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
We know that not every person who participates in Water Baptism has put on Christ.

Putting on Christ is being baptized (immersed) In Christ.
    absorbing His Word
    being Spirit Filled

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
There is no difference in us who are In Christ.

This statement is the broadest most inclusive statement that can be made regarding our Lord`s will for humanity.     We are not one in physical birth but we become one in the New Birth.

Seeing ourselves as New Spirit beings In Christ is critical for our fellowship with Him and others In Christ.

So, we see that by faith in Christ a person becomes a Child Of The Holy Spirit and takes on the look of Christ as a result of being one in Christ.

The image that we get from this passage is of a person being absorbed into the Holy Spirit.

But what does being absorbed into the Holy Spirit mean?

Jesus (the man) was absorbed into His Holy Spirit.   As a result He said this about Himself:
Then said Jesus unto them, When you have lifted up the Son Of Man, then shall you know that I Am, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father has taught me, I speak these things.
Another instance where the trinitarian translators injected the word 'he' after I Am to obscure the fact that Jesus is Mighty God.

The death and resurrection of Jesus is proof that He is Mighty God.
No one in history has ever raised themselves from the dead except Christ Jesus.

Jesus' Father is His Holy Spirit .

I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and you do that which you have seen with your father.
Jesus has told them who He is.     Now He begins to tell them who they are, He speaks of their father.

Believe you not that I am in the Holy Spirit Father, and the Holy Spirit Father in me?     the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Holy Spirit Father that dwells in me, he does the works.
How can Jesus be in the Father and the Father be in Him?
Understand who the Father is.     He is a Spirit.     He is the Holy Spirit.     The Holy Spirit fills the universe and beyond.     But He birthed the body of Jesus and annointed Him to be Messiah - He filled the body of Jesus.

Jesus spoke what the Holy Spirit inspired Him to speak.     Jesus reached out to heal and deliver those whom the Holy Spirit empowered Him to bless.

Just as the disciples and others of Jesus` day could not look past the physical form of Jesus and see the Father, likewise today, people cannot see past our physical form to see the Father in us.

What is even worse is that many of us cannot look past our own physical form to realize Christ in us the expectation of the Father`s glory being manifested in and through us.

Greater works shall we do because the Father has made His abode in us.     We are filled with the Holy Spirit.

Father is a role.     It is not the name of a being.     The name of the Father is Christ Jesus.     (For that matter, the name of the Holy Spirit is Christ Jesus).     But Jesus was clarifying how He, as a man, was able to do what He did and say what He said.

The Holy Spirit is the Father of Jesus.     He is the one who impregnated Mary.     He is the One who inspires and implements the Word.

So, Jesus being the Word speaks and interacts with those in the Physical Realm, while the Holy Spirit from the Spirit Realm ( Heaven) inspires Jesus to speak and then performs the works that Jesus does.

The Holy Spirit and the Word are One.     You cannot separate them.     If you try to you will either have the Word or the Power and neither will be effective.     The Word speaks the purpose, while the Power achieves the purpose.     The Holy Spirit and Word are inseparable.

The implication of Jesus being absorbed into the Holy Spirit is that He said what His Holy Spirit Father wanted Him to say and He did what His Holy Spirit Father wanted Him to do.

Jesus (the man) was the Father`s instrument for accomplishing His will in the earth.

Hence, when we Put On Christ we are to be the Father`s instrument for accomplishing His will in the earth.

Jesus put it this way:
Truly, truly, I say unto you, He that believes on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
In order to do the works that Jesus did one must Believe On Jesus.     To Believe On Jesus is to believe exactly and only what Jesus just told His disciples in .

This is one of the most ignored things that Jesus said.     Why?     Due to the doctrine of the trinity believers have relegated Jesus to just being Saviour.     So, they believe on Jesus for salvation but defer to 'God' as the real deity.

Disciples follow their master in His footsteps learning from Him and imitating Him.

Jesus is telling us that we are to spread the Gospel, heal the sick, set captives free and make disciples of all men.     Doing so is doing Good Works, Mighty Works.

We can only do this by the power of the Holy Spirit Of Christ Jesus operating in a vessel with the Mind Of Christ Jesus.

What did Jesus mean by 'I go unto my Father'?     Jesus returned to the Spirit Realm ( Heaven) when He ascended where the Holy Spirit Father is most readily experienced.     It is the seat from where The Majesty emanates throughout the universe.

The potential for each person who is born of God`s Spirit is unlimited except by their acceptance of and faith in what God`s Word says about them.

To Put On Christ is to receive your inheritance as a Son, a conqueror, and as a powerful servant and minister of the Grace of God.

What is 'holiness of life'?   By definition our nature changes when we are born again.

But what is meant by 'holiness'?   You see, it is the Righteousness Of God in Christ Jesus that is IMPUTED to us in the New Birth.

It is not something WE produce or even maintain.   It is Christ living in and through us.

What does that look like?
First and foremost is the change in our communication - what we think and so, what we say.
Secondly, it is what we do.
    Thirdly, is how we worship.

When Christ is formed in us we think like Christ, we speak like Christ, we do like Christ.   But Christ is NOT formed in us at the New Birth.   We have a New Spirit that is part of His Spirit but our soul and body are still corrupt and corruptible.

So, there is a process by which we manifest Christ.   That process is effected based on our attention to His Word and fellowship with His Spirit.   This is reflective of our relationship with Him.

Those who desire Christ as He desires them, desire to be baptized with His Holy Spirit so that they become One with Him.   It is in Spirit Baptism that we are FULLY oriented toward having Christ formed in us.

No desire to be Spirit Baptized indicates one does not desire to have Christ formed in them.   So, our focus should not be on manifestation but rather heart orientation out of which comes the manifestation.

If a believer does not Put On Christ Jesus they will invariably manifest 'unholiness'.

This 'putting on' is the same concept as allowing Christ to 'be formed' in us.
It is a heart thing and the heart is what Christ is all about.
