Title: A verbal or written commitment to deliver

Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
Jesus is teaching about faith.     To ask effectively you must speak what you desire and you must believe that you will receive.

When we seek we must seek in faith so that we will recognize what we are seeking when we see it.

When we knock we must expect the door to be opened and we must be prepared to enter in confidence.

For every one that asks receives; and he that seeks finds; and to him that knocks it shall be opened.
The simplicity and elegance of Grace and faith escapes most people.

If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your heavenly Father give good things to them that ask him?
Most human parents give to their children what they ask if they can.     Our Heavenly Father is not limited on resources and so He will give us whatsoever we ask of Him.

It is interesting that Mary heard Jesus say something that Matthew did not .      What was that?     That our Heavenly Father will give Himself to those who ask for Him.     It is out of His presence and power in our lives that all good things flow.

The way our Lord gives us good things is through His Holy Spirit in us.

Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father who is in heaven.
Jesus emphasises the power of agreement to receive the spiritual blessings that are in Heavenly Places.

And all things, whatsoever you shall ask in prayer, believing, you shall receive.
Ask, believe and receive is the simple, powerful protocol that Jesus instituted for us.

Why do most Christians not walk in this?
    unbelief
    ignorance
    wrong teaching
    traditions

The Word is the seed from which Abundant Life springs forth .

Jesus told us that the enemy comes and steals the Word .

So, how do we keep him from stealing the Word?
We hide it in our hearts .

How do we hide it in our hearts?
We meditate on it day and night
We choose to really believe it .

Furthermore, we have to resist the devil when he comes against it by giving him no place .      In other words, we do not entertain or discuss any possibility that the Word is not Truth .

Therefore I say unto you, What things soever you desire, when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them.
A desire is the object of hope.     Desiring and Hoping are activities of the imagination.

Faith is the state of our heart regarding that which we desire.

Jesus is telling us to visualize a desire, ask for it and immediately receive it in faith.

The act of desiring, hoping, asking, believing and receiving by faith is a seed that is planted.     The manifestation of that which is desired is the harvest.

The Spiritual Law of Seed Time And Harvest is foundational to all that the Lord has created.

1) We sow
2) the Lord produces
3) We harvest.

And whatsoever you shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Holy Spirit Father may be glorified in the Son.
Whatsoever You Shall Ask
`Whatsoever` has no bounds, no limits.
Can you, will you believe what Jesus says here?

In My Name
Jesus wants us to ask for whatever we desire using His name.
    Why In Jesus` Name?
          Jesus is God's name
It is only polite to speak to God using His name.
It demonstrates our faith in Jesus as God, our provider
When we ask In Jesus` Name, His Holy Spirit Father in us performs the work and in so doing validates Jesus as His express image glorifying Himself In Christ Jesus.

Glorified In The Son
speaks to the fact that we can only know the Father through the Son.
The Holy Spirit Father incarnated Himself in Christ Jesus by whom He reveals Himself to us in thought, in Word and in action.
When we ask In Jesus` Name and the answer comes, we understand that is by the Spirit Of Christ Jesus in us and so the Holy Spirit Father is glorifed.

Now we have the Father in us so that we are One with Him even as our Lord Jesus Christ is One with His Holy Spirit Father .

How does answered prayer glorify our Heavenly Father?
Jesus is the express image of His Holy Spirit Father.
It is by the power of His Holy Spirit Father that this promise is kept.

Think about how asking and not receiving actually denigrates our Heavenly Father.     It makes Him appear unconcerned, unloving.

Jesus was the original faith preacher.     So, when He makes a statement like this, He assumes you have taken to heart His command:
Have Holy Spirit faith!

Faith is not something we conjure up.     It comes by hearing believing and receiving the Word Of The Lord.

When we hear, believe and receive the Word, the Holy Spirit in us can manifest His fruit of supernatural faith, which can accomplish anything .

Get into the Word until you have faith in it.     Then when you speak the Word it will accomplish our Lord`s purpose by His Holy Spirit .

If you shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
What a promise!

Christ Jesus has signed a blank check for us.     By faith we fill the check in and cash it.

Do you believe the Word Of The Lord?
If so, meditate on this verse until you are convinced of the totality of our Father`s love and the magnificence of Christ`s provision for us by Grace Through Faith.

Who is the one that we ask?     The Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ.

You have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that you should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever you shall ask of the Holy Spirit Father in my name, he may give it you.
Jesus directly called the 12.

Were you directly called?     Not until you heard the Gospel.     When you heard the Gospel the Holy Spirit revealed to you that it is Truth.     This is the calling that we receive.     Our response to it seals our being chosen.

The 12 had to follow Jesus in order to seal their calling and be chosen.

The Holy Spirit is given to us to empower us to ask and receive, to bear fruit, and to live in Christ`s authority.

And in that day you shall ask me nothing.     Truly, truly, I say unto you, Whatsoever you shall ask the Holy Spirit Father in my name, he will give it you.
Jesus is telling us to refer to His Holy Spirit Father using His name, Jesus.     That is because the Holy Spirit Father is the Spirit Of Christ Jesus.

That day to which Jesus is referring is the day of Pentecost when His Holy Spirit came to dwell in us.

The Holy Spirit is Christ in us the hope of glory .

Hitherto have you asked nothing in my name: ask, and you shall receive, that your joy may be full.
Up to this point the disciples hsd spoken to God as YHVH, referring to Him as Lord.     Now, Jesus tells His disciples to speak to YHVH using the name Jesus.

In the Name Of Jesus is literally using the name, Jesus .

The Lord wants us to be joyful.     The second fruit of His Holy Spirit is joy.     Expect it, claim it and walk in it.     It is part of your inheritance in Christ Jesus.

If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of the Holy Spirit, that gives to all men liberally, and upbraids not; and it shall be given him.
Wisdom is a gift of the Holy Spirit and the Holy Spirit manifests His gifts in response to our desire for them.

You lust, and have not: you kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: you fight and war, yet you have not, because you ask not.
Apparently there were some very immature Christians in James` church who did not even know the basics of Christianity such as ` Ask and you shall receive`.

And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing (as is his will), he hears us:
Ask and you shall receive.

He gives us the desires of our hearts .

Eternal, Abundant life is His gift to us .

`As is His will` speaks to the verses above where Jesus first taught us.

Keep in mind that John is speaking to believers - those who are In Christ.

It is by the power of the Holy Spirit in us that these promises are kept .

And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
It is all about faith in His love, His faithfulness and His Word.

Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father`s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
We must try to understand the depth, breadth and height of the Lord`s love for us.
    He created us.
    He redeemed us.
    He filled us.
He has made us His heirs.

This verse does not say the Holy Spirit wants to share His Kingdom, rather, it says He wants to give us His Kingdom.

That gift comes by being one with Him so that He manifests in us and through us.     We become part of His life and, in fact, He becomes ours.

More Promises:
The Lord shall fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.

Honour your father and your mother: that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your Lord gives you.
A child who dishonored their parents was put to death.     Why so harsh?
dishonoring parents is a symptom of dishonouring the Lord
not honouring the Lord is a sign of foolishness
foolish people are destructive to themselves and others
    foolishness is chaos
    chaos destroys society

He gives power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increases strength.
Our God Loves mankind and wants to pour Himself into us.

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
All things in the universe are sustained by the Word Of His Power.
In relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ, Grace Through Faith is poured into us.

Regardless of our physical age we are strengthened with His might by His Holy Spirit.

Fear you not; for I am with you: be not dismayed; for I am your Lord: I will strengthen you; yes, I will help you; yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

For I the Lord your Lord will hold your right hand, saying unto you, Fear not; I will help you.

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you: when you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon you.

For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from you, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, says the Lord that has kindness on you.
This is prophetic of Jesus.     Only through Christ can a person realize this promise.

No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment you shall condemn.     This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, says the Lord.
A Child Of The Holy Spirit is a Son Of God.     This is a fact.

The implications of that fact are only manifested as the New Creature thinks, speaks and acts out of his New Spirit.

Failing to stand on the Word, failing to speak the Word and failing to do the Word results in vulnerability to the power of the enemy.

To be given an inheritance is wonderful.     But one must claim the inheritance and use the inheritance in order for it to make any difference in one`s life.

Is not this the fast that I have chosen?     to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that you break every yoke?

The Holy Spirit is upon me; because He has anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
The Holy Spirit in Jesus made Him the Christ who preached the Gospel to us.

If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of the Holy Spirit, that gives to all men liberally, and upbraids not; and it shall be given him.
Wisdom is a gift of the Holy Spirit and the Holy Spirit manifests His gifts in response to our desire for them.

Submit yourselves therefore to the Lord.     Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
These commands ensure victory.

The Lord wants only your best interest served, so work with Him.

Satan, on the other hand, is the enemy and must be resisted whenever and wherever he appears.

We submit from our will just as we rebel from our will.     The rebellious attitude leads to destruction while the submissive attitude leads to eternal, abundant life in the Holy Spirit.

By the way, you don`t have to submit to someone who has Extreme Sovereignty.

Chronicles 7:14
And the Lord, he it is that does go before you; he will be with you, he will not fail you, neither forsake you: fear not, neither be dismayed.

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
Our Mighty God, Jesus Christ, does not plan our lives.     He has good thoughts about us desiring our welfare, our happiness and our success which is found only in an intimate personal relationship with Him by His Word and His indwelling Holy Spirit.

For the Holy Spirit so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
The Holy Spirit is the eternal, omniscient, omnipresent, omnipotent Creator of all things by the Word.

What world is John speaking of?
The earth and all the people born into humanity.

The Holy Spirit is love and love is of the Holy Spirit.

The world was created by our Lord and it is good.     We know that man chose rebellion against the Holy Spirit and so humanity became evil.     But the Holy Spirit loves the people of this world and so He birthed Christ Jesus into the world to redeem it and us.

The Gospel is heard and those who are hungry are lead by the Holy Spirit to believe and receive the Truth.

The Truth sets us free from sin, from death and hell and brings us to Eternal Life by the infilling of the Holy Spirit.

Here is understanding:
    Everlasting Life is Eternal Life
Eternal Life is union with the Holy Spirit.

He that believes on the Son has everlasting life: and he that believes not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of the Lord abides on him.
When a person believes on the Lord Jesus Christ the Holy Spirit, who is Everlasting Life , enters them.

Those who never receive Christ Jesus as Saviour and Lord never receive the Holy Spirit, who is Everlasting Life .

Such people will exist in opposition to the Truth experiencing fear, guilt, sickness, heartache and corruption with no access to the Saviour, the Healer, the Deliverer.     Wilful disconnection from the Lord is self-imposed wrath .

All men fall into one of two categories:
    1) saved
    2) Lost

Those who are saved have received Christ.

To receive Christ is to receive the Spirit Of Christ, His Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit is Everlasting Life

Those who have not received Christ are lost.

The Lost can be further broken down as
those who have never heard the Gospel,
those who have heard the Gospel and rejected it.

It is the job of every Christian to make sure that the people in their life have heard the Gospel.

A big part of the Gospel is that every person will stand before the Lord Jesus Christ.
Those who have received Christ will enter into the joy of the Lord.
Those who have rejected Christ will be cast into the Lake Of Fire.

If the Son therefore shall make you free, you shall be free indeed.
Jesus has the power to deliver us from every form of bondage and to empower us to stay out of bondage.

Notice that He `makes` us free.     This is because the Old Man is unfixable.     We are Born Again of the Word by the Holy Spirit and so are made free in the New Man which is a New Spirit being.

Bring you all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in my house, and prove me now herewith, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
Tithing is a result of Faith in the Spiritual Law of Sowing and Reaping.

We are Promised great Blessing for Honoring God with the firstfruits of our Increase.

Have not I commanded you?     Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be you dismayed: for the Lord your Lord is with you wherever you go.

But my Lord shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
Paul`s use of the phrase `my Lord` indicates two things:
that he knew the Lord personally,
that others had a misconception of the Lord.

Paul received personal revelation of the Gospel by the Holy Spirit so that he had no doubts about
the finished work of Christ Jesus,
the boundless love that it demonstrated and
the amazing Grace that it provided.

Unfortunately, humanity has a long history of perceiving the Creator God as mean - spirited and vindictive.     So, Paul was basically saying that if your god does not supply all your needs then you may be worshipping another god or at least ignorant of the true and living One, Christ Jesus.

The riches of the Lord Jesus Christ are immeasurable, as is His love, as is His Grace.     All that is needed to appropriate those riches is faith in His goodness and His Word.

I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from my enemies.
Such a statement of confidence in the Lord based upon His conviction that the Lord is altogether worthy of praise.

It is our grasp of His love, beauty and goodness that engenders faith and trust in Him.

Yes, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for you are with me; your rod and your staff they comfort me.
Assurance of safety and comfort in the face of trouble.

The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?     the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
The light of the world has brought us salvation through His own blood.

The righteous cry, and the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles.

Delight yourself also in the Lord: and he shall give you the desires of your heart.
The desires of our heart apart from the Lord are carnal and selfish.

When we are Born Again we have a New Spirit which changes the desires of our heart.

So this verse has a dual meaning:
1) the Lord gives us what we desire but
2) He also changes what we desire.
He removes selfishness and replaces it with His love producing new desires.

And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me.

For you, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in kindness unto all them that call upon you.
Jesus has forgiven all sin for all time for all people.     He awaits us to believe on Him and receive His gift of Eternal Life through His Holy Spirit.

Wealth gotten by vanity shall be diminished: but he that gathers by labour shall increase.

Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

He that overcomes, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
What is it that we overcome?     unbelief.
Every evil thing proceeds from unbelief just as every good thing proceeds from faith.

Jesus forgave all sin for all time for all people and it has been said that in so doing every man`s name was written in the Book Of Life.     Those who receive Christ Jesus as Saviour and Lord and are faithful unto the end will never have their name blotted out of that book.     Those who reject Him immediately or eventually deny Him will have their names blotted out.

To have Jesus speak on our behalf before His Holy Spirit Father is everything.     For that privilege we must confess Him before men.     -

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love the Lord, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
When we align with the Lord, we do those things which prosper, which bring fruit.

We align ourselves with the Lord when we are called by the Holy Spirit and respond in faith to Christ Jesus` finished work.

His Plan is that we be His children, be filled with His spirit, do His works and manifest His glory.

That if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that His Holy Spirit has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved.
This is the encapsulation of Grace, clearly pointing out our part which is faith in Jesus and confession of Him as risen Lord and Saviour.

The implication of our part being to believe on Jesus Christ and confess Him as risen Lord, is that He has done everything else!
It is why we call it amazing Grace!
It is why the gospel is nearly too good to be true!

Who raised Jesus from the dead?
He raised Himself by His Holy Spirit .

For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
It is Heart Faith that enables the miracle of the New Birth.

It is our personal confession of Jesus as Mighty God, Creator and loving Saviour that seals that miracle.

The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble.
During the dispensation of Grace, while the enemy is extant, the Lord provides deliverance and victory.

And they that know your name will put their trust in you: for you, Lord, have not forsaken them that seek you.
What is the Lord`s name?     Jesus.

It is in Christ Jesus that we are redeemed, recreated and made heirs of the kingdom.

He gives us His Holy Spirit who never leaves or forsakes us.

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto the Lord.
Don`t worry.     Be happy in the confidence that prayers given with thanksgiving and faith will be rewarded with the blessing that is requested.

Some believers do not believe it is the Lord`s will to give us the desires of our hearts.     They believe this despite what Jesus said in .

Remember that Satan is a thief and a liar.     He steals the promises of the Lord by getting you to doubt what the Lord has said.

Resist the devil and have faith in the Lord!

And the peace of the Holy Spirit, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
Why does the peace of the Lord pass our understanding?

Since the beginning, religion has taught mankind that the Lord is angry with our behaviour and He must be appeased - that we must do something or stop doing something in order to have peace with Him.

At the heart of this concept is a basic Truth - the spirit of rebellion and the resultant sin separated man from the Lord.

But the idea that good behaviour is what the Lord wanted from man was all wrong.     The Lord wanted an intimate, personal relationship with each of us.

In order for sinful man to be in relationship with his holy Creator, the Lord Himself had to pay the penalty for sin.     And to fix the sin of rebellion, He had to give us a New Spirit - a part of Himself.

So, it is in the amazing Grace of the Lord that peace is established eliminating worries, fears, and doubt while stabilizing our minds and hearts through the perfect work of Christ Jesus.

The peace passes our understanding because the love of the Lord is immeasurable.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart; and lean not unto your own understanding.
The human mind must believe as it is not proof unto itself.     What we experience in our minds comes from physical sensory input which is not necessarily fact.

Anyone who elevates their mind above God is a fool as it is only God who is real (eternal).     Everyone and everything else is temporal.

Faith in Christ Jesus as the revelation of God is the only foundation for a life in Truth and a future in eternity.

In all your ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct your paths.
A total commitment to allowing the Holy Spirit in all areas of your life will result in blessings upon blessings as you will never stray from His path.

Is any sick among you?     let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ:
The implication of this verse is that sickness is not to be tolerated.     When sickness manifests it is to be dealt with directly and powerfully.

The implication of the next verse is that every prayer in faith will produce the desired results.

The power of corporate prayer is in its agreement and unity.

The Holy Spirit moves in unity to effect His promises .

The anointing with oil is a symbol of the Holy Spirit bringing healing to the sick through the finished work of Christ Jesus.

Calling on others to pray for you is a sign of faith.     To call is to ask by speaking.     The vocalization of our request is critical to receiving .      To endure affliction is a sign of unbelief.

And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
Asking is necessary .
Believing is critical .

When we ask in faith we receive .

For the sick to be saved is for them to be made whole.

Sickness and sin are closely connected.     When a person comes to Christ Jesus in faith they are made whole - in their Spirit Soul And Body.

Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat?     or, What shall we drink?     or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
Jesus is telling us not to worry about the provisions for life.     It is not what we were designed to do.     He has bigger and better things to occupy us.

(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your Heavenly Father knows that you have need of all these things.
We seek the Lord and He provides out of our relationship with Him.

But seek you first the kingdom of heaven, and the Lord's righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

To seek means to go after in order to obtain.
Kingdom Of Heaven implies there is a domain and a king over that domain.
    Heaven is the Spirit Realm.
His Righteousness is not our righteousness.
    His righteouseness is Himself
    these things constitute Abundant Life

Understanding and adopting this Spiritual Law is the secret to Abundant Life.

So, how do we seek righteousness?
We believe the Gospel and receive the righteousness of the Lord Jesus Christ by faith in Him.

The Kingdom Of Heaven is the Kingdom Of Christ in whom resides all power in heaven and earth.

Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?
It would be an extremely evil father who would do such.

Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?
This would be cruelty and manifestation of hate.

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
Rehearsing all the past blessings of the Lord prepares us to receive the blessing of our need today.

Who forgives all your iniquities; who heals all your diseases;
The use of the word `all` here is important.     It implies that there is no sin that He holds against you .      It implies that all of your physical ailments are healed .

Who redeems your life from destruction; who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender kindnesses;
Our Lord pours His goodness into those who open up by Faith in Him.

Who satisfies your mouth with good things; so that your youth is renewed like the eagle`s.
Our Lord came to give us Abundant Life.

Then they cried unto the Lord in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses.
Repenting of rebellion is key to acceptance by our Lord.     When we turn to Him we are received and glorified by His love and Grace.

He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and broke their bands in sunder.

Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!

For he has broken the gates of brass, and cut the bars of iron in sunder.
We have been set free and given New Life In Christ Jesus.

If you love me, keep my commandments.
Jesus wants us to be like Him.     That is what He means by keeping His commandments.`Speak what I speak.     do what I do.`

In so doing we demonstrate our commitment to Christ and thereby our love for Him.

And I will pray the Holy Spirit Father, and he shall give you a different Comforter, that He Himself may abide in you for ever;
Jesus did not have to literally `pray the Father` as His Holy Spirit is the One who expressed Himself In Christ Jesus.     The purpose for Jesus coming was so that we could receive His Holy Spirit in us.

Jesus had to perfectly fulfil the Word and will of the Holy Spirit in order for His purpose to be accomplished.     When Jesus spoke these words He had not yet died for our sins, so He was speaking of a possibility that was still conditional - He had to die for our sins.

Once He died, His purpose was achieved, fulfilling the requirement for us to receive His Holy Spirit.

Our Creator is a Spirit.     He is the Holy Spirit.     Jesus came to redeem us so that we can be born of His Spirit and be filled with His Spirit.     In other words, Jesus came that we may receive the Father into us and that we may be in the Father .

For there to be a different, or another, Comforter implies that there was one previously.     Jesus was the first Comforter.     His Holy Spirit is the new Comforter.     He is a better Comforter because He can be in each of us by virtue of His omnipresence.     Christ Jesus, the image of the Holy Spirit, can only be in one place at one time.

We have Eternal Life in the Holy Spirit.     We experience Abundant Life in this physical life as we are transformed by the Holy Spirit and the Word to the Mind Of Christ.

If you are not in perfect peace, if you have any fear, you need the comforter - the Holy Spirit.     Ask the Father for His Holy Spirit and He will give Himself to you.

That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by His Holy Spirit in the inner man;
Our Lord`s riches are immeasurable and we are joint heirs with Him of all those riches.

Under what conditions does He grant you to be strengthened?     You must:
    believe that Jesus is God
    receive His Word
    receive His Holy Spirit
submit to His Word and Holy Spirit

The `inner man` is your heart - who you really are.

That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love,
Christ comes to dwell in us by Heart Faith.     Our foundation is love, for God is love.

When we believe and receive the Truth about Christ Jesus - that He is God in flesh - we are born of His Holy Spirit.

When out minds are truly on the right path we are Spirit Baptized.     It is in that state that Christ Jesus dwells in us by His Holy Spirit.

It is in intimate, personal relationship with the Holy Spirit Of Christ Jesus that we begin to manifest as Sons Of God.

May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
The Gospel is for all of us.     There is no respect of persons.

And to know the love of Christ, which passes knowledge, that you might be filled with all the fulness of the Holy Spirit.
We should be blown away by the love of Christ.     We should receive the very Fullness Of God.

In Jesus dwells the Fullness Of God.     He wants the same experience for us.

The Fullness Of God is the fullness of the Holy Spirit.

And Jesus answering says unto them, Have Holy Spirit Faith.
The disciples were amazed at the withered fig tree and wanted to know how Jesus did this to the tree.

Jesus answers them very succinctly by telling them to believe with Holy Spirit faith.

Jesus did not come to show off and then leave us in awe.     He came to:
    clean us up
    teach us
    empower us
    to be like Him.

Jesus is telling us to operate in the supernatural faith of His Holy Spirit.

Note: The word `in` is not in the original Greek phrase which the KJV translates as `Have faith in God`.     It should have read `Have God faith` or `Have the faith of God` rather than `faith in God`.

Since we know that God is Spirit (making Him the Holy Spirit of Christ Jesus), this phrase should best be rendered as `Have Holy Spirit faith`.

Remember, Faith is one of the Spirit Fruit.

Unfortunately, this is another example of how the ` God being` was given an existence separate from the Word and Holy Spirit as a result of the translators` trinitarian concept of the Creator.

Jesus goes on in this passage to tell His disciples to just speak (word) and believe ( Holy Spirit faith) and their desires would be met.     There is no indication that some other being is involved in the process.

Even, the `when you pray` statement of is misunderstood to reference a ` God being` when Jesus instructed us to pray to our Heavenly Father who is His Holy Spirit in us.

For truly I say unto you, That whoever shall say unto this mountain, Be you removed, and be you cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he says shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he says.
Faith is what Jesus will be looking for when He returns.     Faith pleases Him because He operates in it and wants us to as well.     It is divine faith - the Faith Of Christ Jesus.     It is how His power is released and how His will is accomplished.

And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
The Lord loves you more than any friend.

We need to ask in faith and receive it by faith.     It will manifest.     The same goes for seeking and knocking.

For every one that asks receives; and he that seeks finds; and to him that knocks it shall be opened.

If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone?     or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent?
The Lord is better than any parent could be.

Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?

If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your Heavenly Father give Himself to them that ask him?
The Holy Spirit is the Spirit Of Christ Jesus and the Gift Of Christ to us.

To receive Christ is to receive His Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit is so much more loving and giving than the best of parents.     He will give Himself to anyone who asks Him.

The reality is that many believers do not want to manifest as Sons Of The Holy Spirit.     They are content to just miss hell and enter heaven when they die.

But without the baptism of the Holy Spirit believers are ineffective as witnessed by the decline of the church and the secularization of society.

Jesus commanded the disciples to tarry in Jerusalem until they received the power of the Holy Spirit.     Only then were they to go forth preaching the Gospel of the kingdom.

If the disciples who walked with Jesus needed Spirit Baptism, on what basis do believers think that they do not?
