Title: An injurious weed resembling wheat when young

But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.
The enemy ( Satan) the tare (evil seed) sower.

Note that the seed is what is planted in the ground.     Our heart is the ground into which Truth or deception is planted.
A tare is the product of deception.
A wheat is the product of Truth.

A tare looks like wheat when it is young.   However, it never develops fruit.

Tares are sown by the enemy.   The enemy is Satan.   As his seed they are evil.   They cannot produce anything good.

Because they use resources (light, water and soil) they keep good seed from thriving.

Well, obviously they should be destroyed!
But he said, No; lest while you gather up the tares, you root up also the wheat with them.
Until a person dies the determination of whether they are in fact tares or wheat is not final.

Regardless of the sin and evil that a person has done throughout their lives there is forgiveness and redemption In Christ Jesus for them if they will repent.

Good seed and evil seed share the same ground.   Their roots may even be entwined.

We are not to uproot tares because of the entwined roots.   The good seed may be injured or destroyed while uprooting the tare.

A Tare lives Only for itself with its Only productivity being reproduction.

Good seed produces a harvest which it able to feed others and yet their is enough fruit for the good seed to reproduce.

There is no abundance of life in the tare.   Abundant life is found Only in the wheat produced by the good seed.

What Will happen to tares?
Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather you together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.
The harvest is either death or the return of Christ at which time the angels will first gather the tares and burn them and then they will reap the wheat into the Lord`s barn.

In other parables Jesus used seed to represent His Word.
Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of the Lord.
We must sow the Word and trust the Holy Spirit to germinate it.     Ultimately, it is up to the hearer to be good ground in order for Abundant Life to manifest.

How do we become wheat?

We are Born Again of the Holy Spirit Of Christ Jesus by faith in His Word of revelation about Christ Jesus!
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of the Holy Spirit, even to them that believe on his name:
The Him in this verse is the Lord Jesus Christ.

Praise the Lord that His love and mercy is extended to `whosoever will` believe and receive Him.
    Our Lord is matchless.
He is above all and in all who receive Him.

To be a Son Of God, which is to be a Son Of The Holy Spirit, is to be Born Again as a New Spirit being whose life issues from the Holy Spirit of Christ Jesus rather than our carnal soul.

His Word in us transforms
    our thoughts
    our words
    our actions
while His Holy Spirit in us empowers us to accomplish His will.

Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of the Lord.
Being human does not make us children of the Lord.

Desiring to be children of the Lord could not have made us so.

The Holy Spirit has willed in His Plan that we be His children and has made all necessary preparations for it.

Our part is to willingly, freely receive Him in the name of Jesus Christ and accept His Plan for our existence.

The Holy Spirit is the character, the inspiration and the power of the Word, Christ Jesus.

How does a person become a tare?

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is no other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
This means that all other religions are false.     They do not lead to the Lord Jesus Christ our Creator and Saviour.

This is not a Politically Correct verse, but the Lord does not concern Himself with man`s politics or his opinions.

God came to earth and we call Him Jesus.
To deny Jesus is to deny God.
To deny Jesus who is the Truth is to deny the Truth and so believe a lie.

For this reason we are to preach the Gospel to every creature throughout the world .

Christianity has taken a very narrow view and understanding of salvation, limiting it to the spirit of man that is renewed by faith in Christ Jesus.

Jesus did not talk about or deal exclusively with eternity.     He dealt with the Human Condition in the Physical Realm by healing, by delivering, by teaching and, when necessary, by feeding the hungry.     So, we need to understand that Christ came to make us whole in every aspect of our existence.

When a person rejects the Gospel of the kingdom an evil seed from Satan enters their heart and they become enemies of Christ.

That is why the tares will be burned.
