Making the word of the Lord of none effect through your tradition, which you have delivered: and many such like things do you. Mar 7:13 What the Lord says matters.     What tradition says may or may not be right and may or may not be good.

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 2Pe 3:9 The Holy Spirit is love and His love is manifest in Christ who made it possible for us to be born of His Holy Spirit and so be In Christ.      But, He gives us the choice between life and death.     When a person receives Christ Jesus they receive Eternal Life.     When a person rejects Christ Jesus they enter into Eternal Death against the Lord`s will.      This verse totally undermines the false doctrine of Extreme Sovereignty.     We do not see all men coming to repentance so the Lord`s will is not done with respect to every human being.

Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of the Lord: for the Lord cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempts he any man: Jam 1:13 The Lord does not bring temptation or evil into our lives to test us or to teach us.     He is good in every aspect of His being.      Do not confuse the works of the enemy with Christ.     To do so is blasphemy.      Christ is sovereign but He does not exercise Extreme Sovereignty.     He has given us Free Will.     He has given us dominion.      The trials that we go through are the result of us living in a fallen world in which evil has manifested in the Sin Nature as well as sickness and disease.      The Lord gave dominion to man who turned it over to Satan who is the enemy that steals, kills and destroys.      Christ Jesus won back all the power that He had given to man.      That power and dominion is now in the hands of Christ`s stewards until His return.      We can use that power to make good choices and to bend our will to good things, avoiding that which is evil.

Tradition often gives us a sense of safety, comfort and warm feelings.   

But Tradition may be Deceptive.   If the Tradition had an Evil beginning, there is nothing about Tradition that can correct that problem.   

Traditions define Cultures.   The Thinking and Behavior of past generations impact the succeeding generations - for Good or for Evil.   

Even though a Tradition may appear to be Good, it may in fact be Evil.   

And Jesus said, I am: and you shall see the Son Of Man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven. Mar 14:62 So, Jesus gives them what they want - a confession of the Truth which they will not receive as Truth.

Then the high priest rent his clothes, and says, What need we any further witnesses? Mar 14:63 Blasphemy is how they see it, but it was and is the Truth speaking the Truth.

You have heard the blasphemy: what think you?     And they all condemned him to be guilty of death. Mar 14:64 So, Jesus was guilty of speaking the Truth and for that they crucify Him.

In the above Scripture the High Priest rejected the claim of Jesus and Condemned Him to Death.   
He set a Tradition for the Jewish people who still follow that Tradition today.   As a result, millions of Jews have lived and died never Receiving the Salvation that comes only through Christ Jesus.   What a terrible Tradition!   

Tradition propagates Error or it propagates Truth.   Truth is the Word of God.   Truth is Christ Jesus.   All Tradition that violates the Word or denies Jesus Christ is Error.   

The Lord forbid: yes, let the Lord be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That you might be justified in your sayings, and might overcome when you are judged. Rom 3:4 Until we are willing to believe the Word Of The Lord regardless of `evidence` to the contrary, we are not prepared to appropriate Grace Through Faith.
