Trust is not trust if there is a safety net or plan b.   Trust is all-in.   

Jesus came that we can rest in Him.   When we rest we have ceased from our labors.   

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Mat 11:28

Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. Mat 11:29

For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as the Lord did from his. Heb 4:10

And in his name shall the Gentiles trust. Mat 12:21

And such trust have we through Christ toward the Holy Spirit: 2Co 3:4

That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. Eph 1:12

In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise, Eph 1:13

For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living Holy Spirit, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe. 1Ti 4:10

Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living Holy Spirit, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy; 1Ti 6:17
