Title: One who scatters seed over land

And he spoke many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow;
He spoke in Parables so that only those who hungered and thirsted after righteousness would be filled.     The casual listener would not be interested enough to hear with their hearts.

And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up:
Sometimes when we share the Gospel no one is listening.

Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth:
The earth is good ground.     In this case there is mostly stones so that the word took root but was unable to grow.

And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.
Roots reach out in the ground to obtain moisture for the plant.

And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them:
Thorns are like tares.     They choke out the fruit bearing plants.

But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.
Good Ground is a heart with a Love Of The Truth that joyfully receives the seed and nourishes it.

Who has ears to hear, let him hear.
We really hear with our hearts.     If we are really interested we pay attention, we consider and we absorb.

And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speak you unto them in parables?
The disciples did not understand the pearls and swine concept.

He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.
Those whom the Holy Spirit is drawing to the Lord will be hungry and thirsty for knowledge of the Lord.     Those that are not being drawn wont.

The Kingdom Of Heaven is headed by the Lord Jesus Christ under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit who issues from the Spirit Realm into the Physical Realm.     In the New Birth we become New Spirit beings who exist in the Kingdom Of Heaven.

For whoever has, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whoever has not, from him shall be taken away even that he has.
When we have a desire for the Lord we receive more of Him.     When we do not desire the Lord we lapse into a state of not caring at all about the Lord.

Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.
Jesus was not interested in being a performer for the bored or a soup line for the physically hungry.     He was here for the purpose of bringing those who were lost and knew it into a found state by revealing the Truth to them.

And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah, which says, By hearing you shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing you shall see, and shall not perceive:
Those who wanted a show or some physical food, got what they wanted but not what the needed.     Jesus never gave anyone what they needed.     He gave them what they wanted.     So, those who wanted the knowledge of the Lord were receiving it through the parables, Those not interested in the knowledge of the Lord just endured the parables until the next show started.

For this people`s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
The Lord cannot help someone who does not want to be helped.     The dull ears and eyes are metaphors for hearts that are not interested in the Lord.     When a person draws near to the Lord, He draws near to them.

But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.
The disciples eyes and ears were open because they desired the Lord.

For truly I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which you see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which you hear, and have not heard them.
Jesus is telling His disciples how precious their privilege is in being with Him in His earthly ministry.

Hear you therefore the parable of the sower.
Because they wanted to know more about the Lord, Jesus explains the Parable to then.

When any one hears the word of the kingdom, and understands it not, then comes the wicked one, and catches away that which was sown in his heart.     This is he which received seed by the way side.
Understanding what is said enables the brain to store the concept.     Without understanding the seed has no effect and is lost.

But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that hears the word, and anon with joy receives it;
This hearer understands the Word and gets excited about it.

Yet has he not root in himself, but endures for a while: for when tribulation or persecution arises because of the word, by and by he is offended.
We must have our roots in the Truth so that we can survive the onslaughts of Satan.

Notice that the shallow believers are offended by the Word.

We are seeing the abandonment of the Word in some churches even today.     This is likely to increase as pressure is applied to accept immorality and wickedness as normal.

He also that received seed among the thorns is he that hears the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful.
This hearer understands the Word but does not value it in his heart above the cares of this world and so never manifests any of the fruit.

But he that received seed into the good ground is he that hears the word, and understands it; which also bears fruit, and brings forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.
The good ground is a heart with a Love Of The Truth.     Upon hearing the Truth and understanding it, this person allows it to take root in his heart so that over time it bears much fruit.
