Then spoke Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that follows me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. Joh 8:12 Light is necessary for life - physical and spiritual life.      In order to experience Abundant Life we must follow Jesus.     We must He Be Re Do.      Many modern people look for truth through science, philosophy and art.      It is impossible to find the Light by studying the creation.     We may find out interesting things but more often than not, that new information just makes us more curious.      It is impossible to find the Light through meditation and reasoning.     This is because our minds are subject to entertaining wrong thoughts and are subject to our own biases.      It is impossible to find the Light through the arts which are simply man's creativity.     The beauty and magnificence of creation can only be imitated, not duplicated.      Jesus is the not only Light but He is the Truth about God because He is our Mighty God.     He has revealed His love and Grace to us.     He is the way to eternal, abundant life.     He has given Himself to us so that we are never alone, we are forever His brothers and joint-heirs with Him of all that He has.      Understanding this is Light.     Receiving this is Life.     We are to have this Light in intimate personal relationship with Him.

I am come a light into the world, that whoever believes on me should not abide in darkness. Joh 12:46 Total darkness is stark.     Total light is overwhelming.     Those never exposed to light abide in darkness.     Since they have never seen light they accept darkness as normal.     We were not created for darkness.     We were created for light.      In the New Heaven And Earth the Lord Jesus Christ is the light.     With our translated bodies we will be able to not only endure His overwhelming light but will revel in it because it is His glorious life.

In whom the god of this world has blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of the Lord, should shine unto them. 2Co 4:4 Satan hates humanity and so deceives as many as possible so they never enter into the light of Grace by Christ Jesus.

That you may be blameless and harmless, the sons of the Holy Spirit, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom you shine as lights in the world; Phi 2:15 The light and the salt that we spread sets us forth as Sons Of The Holy Spirit revealing the deeds done in darkness and the perverseness of the men who do them.

In him was life; and the life was the light of men. Joh 1:4 In the body of Jesus was life - His Holy Spirit Father.      The Holy Spirit is Eternal Life.      The Holy Spirit in the body of Jesus enabled Him to speak words of Truth which brought light and life to those who received it,

You are the light of the world.     A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Mat 5:14 Jesus is the llght and by receiving Him through the New Birth by the Holy Spirit we become light.      We ought to recognize the responsibility upon us to let our light shine.

That was the true Light, which lights every man that comes into the world. Joh 1:9 Jesus is the true light.     Many artificial lights come and go.     Philosophers try to shed light but it is only darkness.     It is Christ`s will that all come to the light and that none have to go into outer darkness.

And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. Joh 3:19 Jesus has forgiven all sin.     But the sin of unbelief in that fact condemns the unbeliever to hell.      Why is such a free and loving gift rejected by so many?         ➛ They are rebellious by nature and they love sin.      And that attitude makes them enemies of good.      Those who allow evil to reign in their lives prefer the cover of darkness so they do not have to see the truth.     They also prefer others to be in darkness so those do not see the wickedness either.

As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world. Joh 9:5 Jesus is telling us that only physical bodies can manifest His light.     When He was on earth He manifested light.     Now that He is in heaven it is up to us to manifest light.     Otherwise, the earth remains in darkness.
