Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 2Th 2:3 Do not be deceived!     This warning is always associated with the End Times.      'That day' is the Day Of The Lord Jesus Christ.      The Falling Away will happen as a result of    ➛ false teaching leading to false expectations    ➛ deceitfulness of sin and its legitimization    ➛ turning from the Word and fellowship in the Holy Spirit.      The 'man of sin' is the beast, the antichrist.      The revelation of the beast is accompanied by    ➛ a complete disavowal of sin    ➛ denial of Jesus Christ    ➛ glorification of humanity.

Who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called the Lord, or that is worshipped; so that he as the Lord sits in the temple of the Lord, showing himself that he is the Lord. 2Th 2:4 If there is no Creator then man is god.      This is the underpinning premise of the Antichrist`s kingdom.

Remember you not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? 2Th 2:5 Apparently Paul had given more detail about the Day Of The Lord when he was ministering in person at Thesolonica.     Unfortunately, he does not repeat the revelation of who it is that withholds and what is being withheld so that the next verse is left unclear.

And now you know what withholds that he might be revealed in his time. 2Th 2:6 'What withholds' is not specified here though it no doubt was when Paul ministered in person at Thessalonica.      The 'he' and 'his' are not associated with a particular being in this passage.      I rather think that `what withholds` is Michael, the archangel Dan 10:13,20,21 Dan 12:1.      There are many who believe it is the church.      While yet others believe that it is the Holy Spirit.      The fact that there are Christians on the earth at the time of Jesus` return counters the supposition that the church is withholding.      The fact that the Holy Spirit is in the body of believers who are still on earth at the return counters the supposition that the Holy Spirit is withholding.      The 'man of sin', the beast, is to whom the 'he' and 'his' refer.

For the mystery of iniquity does already work: only he who now lets will let, until he be taken out of the way. 2Th 2:7 Satan is the mystery of iniquity.         ➛ Who he was.         ➛ Who he now is.         ➛ Why he rebelled.         ➛ What his plan is Michael (see comment on 2Th 2:6) is 'he who now lets' contending with Satan and keeping him from unleashing the fulness of his raw evil.      When Michael is taken out of the way Rev 12:7-10 Satan will incarnate himself in the beast, the Anti Christ.      At that point, he will manifest lying wonders with which to deceive the whole world.

And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: 2Th 2:8 The wicked beast, the Anti Christ will appear for a short time.      Christ will return to destroy and consume him in the Day Of Wrath,

Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 2Th 2:9 Satan is the force behind the beast, the Anti Christ, enabling him to do signs and lying wonders.

And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 2Th 2:10 The beast will exercise influence and power over all those who have received his mark, name or number.      Those in his power did not receive a Love Of The Truth through Christ Jesus and so were deceived,

And for this cause the Lord shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 2Th 2:11 Not having a Love Of The Truth resulted in them falling under the power of Strong Delusion to believe the lie of the Anti Christ.      Men are born in darkness.      Those who hear the Gospel (light and Truth) and receive it enter into light and Truth.      Those who hear and reject he Gospel not only remain in the darkness in which they were born, but by knowingly and willfully rejecting the light and Truth of Jesus Christ, they enter into Gross Darkness out of which there in no escape as they have blasphemed the Holy Spirit Of Christ Jesus.      Such are damned.

That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. 2Th 2:12 Damnation is the end result of rejection of the Truth, believing the lie and worshipping unrighteous pleasure.

Little children, it is the last time: and as you have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. 1Jn 2:18 The Spirit Of Anti Christ is the Spirit Of Satan whose plan is to destroy the Kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Who is a liar but he that denies that Jesus is the Christ?     He is antichrist, that denies the Holy Spirit Father and the Son. 1Jn 2:22 A person who rejects Christ Jesus automatically becomes a liar because they have rejected the Truth.      The fact that so many in secular leadership have rejected Christ Jesus as Lord and Saviour has given place to the Spirit Of Anti Christ in their lives and the institutions which they lead.      Such have become compulsive liars because the Truth is not in them.      Accordingly, all that they say and do is to serve their self-interests.      Unfortunately, many who believe in Christ Jesus deny His Holy Spirit Father, relegating Him to some third person in some godhead.      The Truth is that the Son is not a son in the human sense.      The Son is His Father and the Father is His Son.      The Holy Spirit Father cannot be seen or heard.     He could not be the sacrifice for our sins because He has no blood.     He is Spirit.     So, the Holy Spirit Father made Himself a body to appear, to speak, to die and to rise again.     That Body is Christ Jesus in whom the Holy Spirit Father dwells.      So, this verse is telling us that to be In Christ one must believe that the Creator God is the Holy Spirit Father of our Lord Jesus Christ and that Jesus is His Express Image, His personifictation.

And every spirit that confesses not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of the Holy Spirit: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof you have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. 1Jn 4:3 Every person    ➛ is either saved or lost    ➛ is either a wheat or a tare    ➛ is either going to heaven or going to hell    ➛ is either a Child Of The Holy Spirit or a Child Of Satan What a person does with the Lord Jesus Christ makes all the difference.      It is interesting that John, being a Jew, was levying a charge against his people - that they, as a group, were under the control of the Spirit Of Anti Christ.      We sometimes too directly associate the Spirit Of Anti Christ with the Beast of Revelation.     Yes, the Beast will embody that spirit but he is not the originator of it.     The Jews were - they denied that Jesus is the Messiah, the Christ - even to the point of crucifying Him.      In Matt 23:38 we hear Christ cursing the house of Israel.     Why?     Because their rejection of Him was simultaneously an invitation for the Spirit Of Anti Christ to take over their society.      The Spirit Of Anti Christ is not easily overcome.         ➛ It is different than being ignorant of Jesus.         ➛ It is different than worshipping another god or following another religion.      To be Anti Christ is to have been informed of the Messiah, Jesus, yet knowingly and willfully rejecting Him as Creator, Mighty God, Saviour, Lord and King.      Recognize the Spirit Of Anti Christ in the people you interact with.     Such will eventually align themselves with the Beast who will begin genocide of Christians.

For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh.     This is a deceiver and an antichrist. 2Jn 1:7 Each human is a Child Of The Holy Spirit or a Child Of Satan.     To receive Christ is to be a Child Of The Holy Spirit.     To reject Christ is to be a Child Of Satan.

And you shall be hated of all men for my name`s sake: but he that endures to the end shall be saved. Mat 10:22 The hate will be directed at the Christ in you.      Determining not to forsake Christ even at the cost of death is critical for a person to be saved.

Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and you shall be hated of all nations for my name`s sake. Mat 24:9 Persecution for Christ`s sake will arise and intensify.     hatred against Christians will spawn torment and death.

And you shall be hated of all men for my name`s sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. Mar 13:13 Those who are not In Christ will eventually actively hate those who are In Christ.     That hatred will lead to severe persecution and Isolation.     Only those who stand true to Christ will be saved.

And you shall be hated of all men for my name`s sake. Luk 21:17 Persecution will come to us because every Child Of Satan will be hell-bent on destroying Christianity.
