And Adam called his wife`s name Eve; because she was the mother of all living.

Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy the Lord giveth thee.

Ye shall fear every man his mother, and his father, and keep my sabbaths: I am the Lord your Lord.

Kings 4:30
The proverbs of Solomon.     A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish son is the heaviness of his mother.

As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem.

Behold, every one that useth proverbs shall use this proverb against thee, saying, As is the mother, so is her daughter.

And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?

And he went down with them, and came to Nazareth, and was subject unto them: but his mother kept all these sayings in her heart.

When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son!

Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother!     And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home.
