The resurrection occurred on a specific calendar day just as did His birthday.   It should not be combined with the worship of false gods (eostre, ostara), fertility rites and fairy tales.   Such is an abomination to our Lord and a tool of our enemy, Satan.   

Just take a step back for a moment.   If you wanted to convince an unbeliever of Christ Jesus you would likely first mention that He raised Himself from the dead.   That would raise the question of `when did this happen`.   If your answer is Easter which is about fertility and pagan worship, it is likely that you would lose your potential convert at ground 0.   

I encounter unbelievers who think Christianity is nothing more than Santa Claus and Easter rabbits.   They think we are bunch of nuts who choose to believe in fairy tales and myths.   

Tradition corrupts when tradition is not based on fact.   As mentioned above, Jesus was born on a specific day in history and He arose from the grave on a specific day in history.   This day should not be moved around like "president`s day" for the convenience of long weekends or because `it is tradition`.   

Furthermore, Resurrection Day should be revered and talked about independently of any commercial or other carnal issues.   The early church grew because it preached Christ crucified, raised and ascended.   

If we are serious about our faith and our calling to preach the Gospel of Christ Jesus we should dissociate ourselves from the secular, pagan traditions that undermine our effectiveness for Christ.   

Will this happen?   I don`t think so, because we love tradition.   Consider this: 99% of Jews reject Christ Jesus in favor of tradition.   They are willing to go to hell rather than reject their tradition in favor of the Truth.   (I am not implying that the day of celebration of a holiday determines your eternal destiny).
