Title: What does Jesus really want from us?

Jesus answered them and said, Truly, truly, I say unto you, You seek me, not because you saw the miracles, but because you did eat of the loaves, and were filled.

Labour not for the meat which perishes, but for that meat which endures unto everlasting life, which the Son Of Man shall give unto you: for him has the Holy Spirit Father sealed.
We must labour (put forth effort) to receive the things of the Lord.     We labor by studying the Word and Praying In The Spirit.

Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of the Holy Spirit?
How can a regular person do the miracles that Jesus did?

Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of the Lord, that you believe on him whom he has sent.
So, what our Lord Jesus Christ has sought to accomplish is, our faith in Him.

`All these things` flow out of Grace Through Faith in Christ Jesus.     .

That faith should produce Good Works.     If there are no Good Works:
    purify your heart
    spend time in the Word
    pray in the Spirit.
    resist the devil
    guard your heart
    fellowship with fellow believers.

They said therefore unto him, What sign show you then, that we may see, and believe you?     what do you work?

Our fathers did eat manna in the desert; as it is written, He gave them bread from heaven to eat.
This manna was natural food supernaturally provided.

Then Jesus said unto them, Truly, truly, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father gives you the true bread from heaven.
Manna is not spiritual food.     The Holy Spirit brought forth Jesus who is the spiritual bread of life.

For the bread of the Lord is he which comes down from heaven, and gives life unto the world.
Jesus is from heaven, sent to earth to bring Eternal Life to us - His Holy Spirit.

Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread.
They understood enough of what Jesus was saying to desire the gift of Eternal Life.

And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that comes to me shall never hunger; and he that believes on me shall never thirst.
The Holy Spirit fills us as we receive Christ in fact and in fullness, so that all of our needs and desires are met in Him.

But I said unto you, That you also have seen me, and believe not.
Skepticism is unbelief and unbelief cuts off the flow of the Lord`s blessings.

All that the Holy Spirit Father gives me shall come to me; and him that comes to me I will in no wise cast out.
Who does the Father give to the Son?

The Calvinist believes that the Father unilaterally decides who will be saved.

However, the Holy Spirit Father draws an individual to Jesus.     If the individual responds to the wooing of the Holy Spirit and receives Jesus, the Father gives that person to Christ.

The flip side of Jesus' acceptance of those who come to Him is that He WILL cast those out who do not.

For I came down from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of him that sent me.
Who sent Jesus?
    He sent Himself .      ,.
His body being formed by His Holy Spirit in the virgin Mary.     .

The Holy Spirit is omnipresent and He eminates from the Throne Of Majesty in heaven.

So, while Jesus was on the earth, His Holy Spirit was still in heaven at the same time He was in Jesus speaking through Him and doing miracles through Him.

In the same way, His Holy Spirit is in us is to speak through us and do miracles through us.     .

This is the will of our Lord concerning us.

And this is the Holy Spirit Father`s will which has sent me, that of all which he has given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.
We are Christ`s workmanship: .

And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which sees the Son, and believes on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.
This is an awesome statement of the love and the will of our Lord for every human being!

This is the Gospel Truth.

Have you seen the Son?
We see Christ Jesus through eyes of faith in His Word and His Holy Spirit in us.

Note that the Holy Spirit is Everlasting Life.

Also, note that it is by faith in Jesus Christ that His Holy Spirit comes into us and us into Him, making us One with Him (not 'them' as the Holy Spirit Father is the Spirit Of Christ Jesus).

The Jews then murmured at him, because he said, I am the bread which came down from heaven.
Unbelief eventually doomed that whole generation.

They clung to the physical events of their heritage rather than looking to their spirituall heritage in Abraham which was faith.

Carnal Minded people are stiffnecked and resistant to spiritual concepts.

And they said, Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know?     how is it then that he says, I came down from heaven?
The Jews knew that Messiah would come from the Holy Spirit.     They still do.     They just didn`t believe and still don`t believe on Jesus as Him.

They looked at the physical and shut their minds to the spiritual.

Jesus therefore answered and said unto them, Murmur not among yourselves.
Murmuring is a sign of unbelief.

No man can come to me, except the Holy Spirit Father which has sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.
Each individual has The Measure Of Faith and each individual has the evidence of creation by which to know that there is a Creator God.

What an individual does with these revelations determines whether the Holy Spirit can work with them to receive the message of the Gospel of Christ when they hear it.

So, the Holy Spirit draws us when we draw to Him.     .      When we hunger and thirst for the Lord we are filled.     .

The ball is in our court as our Lord has done everything He can do for us to be saved.

This is an intentional tautology by Christ Jesus.     He is teaching them and us that He is God.
    Who sent Jesus?
    Who is Jesus' Father?
Who is the express image of the Father?
    Who shed His blood?
    Who suffered in body?
    Who died?
    Who rose again?
    Who raised Him?
Who has all power in Heaven and Earth?
    Who was lifted up?
Who draws all men to Him?

The reason so many trinitarians get confused is that they don't know who's on first.

The Lord Jesus Christ is on first and there is no one on second or third.

For those who haven't heard, the Holy Spirit Father incarnated Himself in the body of Jesus.     So, it was the Holy Spirit Father saying and doing what we heard and saw from Christ Jesus.     It was the Holy Spirit Father who left Jesus' body at the moment our sins were poured into Him on the cross.     It was why Jesus cried out in that separation.

To see Jesus only as Son and not Father is to minimize who He was, who He is and to deny Him the total glory that is due Him.

Jesus was God with us in Flesh - Immanuel.     His Holy Spirit is God with us in Spirit.     It will be His Spirit in us that raises us and transforms us at His appearing.

It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of the Lord.     Every man therefore that has heard, and has learned of the Holy Spirit Father, comes unto me.
The Holy Spirit is the Spirit Of Truth who draws us to Christ Jesus by informing us that Jesus is God.

Not that any man has seen the Holy Spirit Father, save he which is of the Holy Spirit, he has seen the Holy Spirit Father.
.      .

Truly, truly, I say unto you, He that believes on me has everlasting life.
We have Eternal Life now and forever because the Holy Spirit is Eternal Life and He will never leave or forsake us.

It is truly amazing how that the Holy Spirit gives us so much simply because we honour His Son by believing on Him.

I am that bread of life.
Jesus is telling the Jews that He is Messiah and that the purpose of the Messiah is to bring life to those who believe and receive Him.

Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead.
Natural bread is necessary for physical life, but it is not sufficient, because all physical life eventuallly dies.

This is the bread which comes down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die.

I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.
Any questions?     What an awesome revelation and promise.

The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat?
Being Carnal Minded is death.     It shuts a person off from the Lord.

Then Jesus said unto them, Truly, truly, I say unto you, Except you eat the flesh of the Son Of Man, and drink his blood, you have no life in you.
We must receive Christ in Truth with no reservations or doubts.

The Jews could not believe that the man standing in front of them was Mighty God and Saviour.     As a result they could not receive His life.

We, who not only acknowledge that Jesus is the express image of His Holy Spirit Father, but receive Him into our being, receive the life of the Holy Spirit Father.

We receive Christ Jesus as the testimony of the Holy Spirit Father and in so doing open ourselves to receive His Spirit, the Holy Spirit Father.

Whoso eats my flesh, and drinks my blood, has eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.
How do we eat His flesh and drink His blood?
Is this in the communion?     No,
it is in faith that Jesus is the incarnation of the Holy Spirit,
it is in faith that Jesus is Mighty God
it is in faith that Jesus is the one and only Saviour
it is in receiving His Holy Spirit and becoming One with Him.

For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.
The Sacifice that was sown in the grave has produced Eternal Life to whosoever will believe and receive Jesus Christ.

He that eats my flesh, and drinks my blood, dwells in me, and I in him.
We are to come into intimate relationship with Christ

This is only possible through Spirit Baptism and being filled with His Holy Spirit.

Those who waffle as to the deity of Christ Jesus have not eaten His flesh or drunk His blood - meaning they have reservations about Him.

Jesus says that if you want to be One with Him by being filled with His Holy Spirit and being baptized in His Holy Spirit you must believe wholeheartedly that Jesus is the express image of the One and Only True And Living God - the Holy Spirit Father.

As the living Father has sent me, and I live by the Holy Spirit Father: so he that eats me, even he shall live by me.
The Holy Spirit is life.     He filled Jesus with life and by receiving Jesus as Lord and Saviour we are born of His Holy Spirit for the purpose of being filled with His Holy Spirit.

This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eats of this bread shall live for ever.
Eternal Life is the gift of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Eternal Life is the Holy Spirit of Christ Jesus in us.

These words spoke Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify your Son, that your Son also may glorify you:
Here we see the Word Of God speaking to the Spirit Of God concerning the Body Of God.

Jesus is committing Himself to finish the work for wjich He came into the world.

As you have given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as you have given him.
Christ has power over all flesh.     He is the second Adam to whom dominion was once given.

The Holy Spirit draws a person to Christ and therein does He give a person to Christ Jesus.

The Holy Spirit birthed Jesus and has empowered Him with all power in heaven and earth.     And Jesus turned around and gave His Holy Spirit to us so that we receive His power.

And this is life eternal, that they might know you, the One and Only Holy Spirit Of Truth, through Jesus Christ, whom you annointed.
Eternal Life is a gift.     That gift is the Holy Spirit of Christ Jesus whereby we are made One with Him.

To know the Holy Spirit, the Spirit Of Christ Jesus is for Him to abide in us and for us to abide in Him.

The purpose of Jesus coming is for us to receive His Holy Spirit and become One with Him.     .

In receiving the Gospel of Grace Through Faith we are Born Again of the Word and His Holy Spirit.     This means that we already have Eternal Life through Jesus Christ our Lord .

Eternity in the Spirit Realm is already our state of existence .      So walk in Newness Of Life .

I have glorified you on the earth: I have finished the work which you gave me to do.
It glorifies the Lord for us to be obedient.

And now, O Holy Spirit, glorify you me with your own self with the glory which I had with you before the world was.
In this verse the soul of Christ Jesus was speaking to His Holy Spirit.

The physical man Jesus was glorified by His Holy Spirit.     But Jesus` body of flesh could not be fully glorified.     Upon His resurrection, His body was glorified by being translated from flesh to spirit, returning Him to His original eternal state of total oneness with His Holy Spirit as Spirit Man.

To be totally spirit is to be glorified with the Lord`s own self.     Jesus was looking forward to leaving His body of flesh and taking up His spirit body again.

I have manifested your name unto the men which you gave me out of the world: yours they were, and you gave them me; and they have kept your word.
The disciples were given to Christ by the Father.     Jesus is confident that the disciples will keep His Word though in the short term they will be scattered.

Now they have known that all things whatsoever you have given me are of you.
The disciples understood that Jesus operated by His Holy Spirit.

For I have given unto them the words which you gave me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from you, and they have believed that you did send me.
This is in essence the saving confession and profession.

I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which you have given me; for they are yours.
Jesus was rejected by the Jews.     He was praying ONLY for those who had received Him as Saviour and Lord.

And all mine are yours, and yours are mine; and I am glorified in them.
We please the Holy Spirit Father of Christ Jesus when we believe and receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.

And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to you.     Holy Spirit Father, keep through your power those whom you have given me, that they may be one, as we are.
In Spirit Baptism we are One with Him.

Those who reject the infilling Holy Spirit are rejecting Christ Jesus who is His express image.

To love Jesus and despise His Holy Spirit is like loving a woman for her body and caring nothing for her spirit and soul.     Unlike a woman, our Lord cannot be so deceived.     Neither is He interested in such a relationship.

While I was with them in the world, I kept them by your power: those that you gave me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.
Jesus ministered to His disciples and preserved them.

And now come I to you; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.
The Word Of The Lord brings joy when we receive it.

I have given them your word; and the world has hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
The world is described as those not having a Love Of The Truth.

I pray not that you should take them out of the world, but that you should keep them from the evil.
The implication is that those who do not have a Love Of The Truth are by definition evil.

They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
Jesus is Truth and has poured Truth into His receiving disciples transforming them from brute beasts into His friends.

Sanctify them through your truth: your word is truth.
We are washed in the Word Of The Lord and transformed from Grace to Grace by it.

The implication for those not in the Word is that they are unsanctified and so, spiritually filthy.

Worst of all, they may not realize they are filthy and in conflict with their Saviour.

But for those in the Word, Abundant Life in power, peace, joy, faith and love manifests more and more.

As you have sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.
Disciples go into the world to transform the world by preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.
Jesus kept Himself from sin in order for us to be saved by His perfect sacrifice.

Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;
Jesus prayed ONLY for Beleivers.     We should never ask the Lord to do something He cannot do.
The Lord cannot save an unbeliever.
    He cannot heal an unbeliever.

In this passage Jesus prays by faith for those who WILL believe.     He did not name names.     Neither should we.

The Holy Spirit reacts to a person`s response to the Gospel which we share to deliver, to heal, to save or to condemn.     Yes, the Holy Spirit condemns a person who rejects the Gospel of Jesus Christ.     He does so by no longer drawing them to the Truth which they have willfully and knowingly rejected.

The Unpardonable Sin is a lot easier to commit than people think.     Jesus instructed His disciples to shake the dust off their feet as a testimony AGAINST those who rejected the Gospel of the kingdom.     .

That they all may be one; as you, Holy Spirit Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that you have sent me.
Jesus` purpose in coming was to cleanse us by His blood so that we could receive His Holy Spirit.

When we believe In Christ Jesus and receive His Holy Spirit we become One with Him.

By His Holy Spirit in us we are empowered to be effective witnesses of our Lord Jesus Christ to the world.

And the glory which you gave me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:
The glory is the Holy Spirit who makes us One with Christ.

I in them, and you in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that you have sent me, and have loved them, as you have loved me.
`I in them`
is the Faith Of Christ in us.
`You in me`
is the Holy Spirit In Christ Jesus.
` Perfect in one`
speaks to the New Spirit being that we become by Grace Through Faith In Christ Jesus who is a child of the Holy Spirit.

So, we see that the Holy Spirit is in us because we are In Christ and are perfect in our New Spirit.

The world He is speaking of is the people in the world - particularly those who have not heard the Gospel.     The evidence of a transformed life will speak as light and truth to those who are lost.

Holy Spirit Father, I will that they also, whom you have given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which you have given me: for you loved me before the foundation of the world.
Jesus is eternal.

The disciples saw, spoke with and touched the risen glorified Jesus.

We who are In Christ by the New Birth are already with Christ spiritually.
But when He returns we will be with Him physically forever.

O righteous Father, the world has not known you: but I have known you, and these have known that you have sent me.
No one can know the Holy Spirit except through Christ Jesus.     This is why every other religion and every other belief system is a waste of time.

And I have declared unto them your name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith you have loved me may be in them, and I in them.
Jesus said He had `declared unto them your name`.

Who is the `your` in this statement?
    His Holy Spirit Father

What is the `name` in this statement?
    Jesus

How did Jesus declare?
He is the express image of His Holy Spirit Father

So, Jesus came to reveal the Truth about `God` who is our Heavenly Father, who is His Holy Spirit who is love who will be in us who receive Him by His name, Jesus.

What does Jesus really want from us?
Oneness in Spirit And Truth.
Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.
By growing in Grace and knowledge of Christ we understand the perfect love of His Holy Spirit made available to us by His finished work.

In that perfect love we know in whom we have believed and are embued with boldness and power to manifest Christ in this world by His Holy Spirit.

Because of what our Lord Jesus has done for us, we are now also Sons Of The Holy Spirit .      who have access to His inheritance .      of all power in heaven and earth .

It was His plan in the beginning for us to be in His image .      Now we are New Spirit beings awaiting the translation of our souls and bodies into His likeness .
