Truth is revealed in the Word by the Holy Spirit
Understanding the Extreme Sovereignty error.

There are places in the Bible where men interpreted God's foreknowledge as His forcing things to happen.

One of the first instances of this is where God told Moses that Pharoah would not respond to the plagues by letting the Israelites go.   Moses INTERPRETED this foreknowledge to mean that God hardened Pharoah's heart.   WRONG!

We later see Moses getting it right.   Pharoah hardened his own heart.

God is outside of time.   He created the physical universe and all that is in it to operate inside of time.

God created a process.   It was not a deterministic process because He gave man Free Will.   For will to be free it must not be controlled by another entity.   Influenced, yes.   Controlled, no.

Storms are a prime example of what is happening in general.   God created the laws that govern the physical universe.   Storms occur within the framework of those laws.

Where storms occur, how severe they are and how much damage results is a function of many variables, not the least of which is where man chooses to build.

New Orleans is a prime example.   It was built below sea level.   When floods come as a result of tidal surges the damage to human property and lives is a result of man's choice to build where he did.

God did not make man build New Orleans and God did not destroy human property and lives even though He created the laws that effect weather.

It is superstition and ignorance that has attributed everything that happens to a direct exercise of God's will.

Old Testament men and New Testament men as well as modern men are guilty of superstition and ignorance.

Bouyancy and density is a good thing that God instituted.   It enables us to walk instead of float.   When people fall to injury or death, it is NOT God's will.   It is a result of the person not taking proper precautions.

When you read the book of Romans you are hearing a man present the Truth that the Holy Spirit has revealed to him, through the lens of his own experience.

Paul was a Jew who could not understsnd why his people rejected Christ.   He knew that he was sent to preach to Gentiles but he stubbornly went to Jerusalem to try to do what Jesus failed at - convincing the Jews that He, Jesus, is Mighty God and Savior.   It almost got Paul killed.

So, Paul was somewhat double-minded in how he tried to deal with reprobate Israel and the Gospel Of Grace.

At the end of the day he states things directly from the Holy Spirit with none of his filtering
We are saved by Grace Through Faith
there is no Jew nor Greek in Christ but we are all one in Him.

Those who read the scriptures without the Holy Spirit Of Truth in them will not be able to distinguish pure Truth from statements that have an element of Truth in them but are couched in the perspective of the speaker.

Jesus said "Search the scriptures because those that produce eternal life are those that testify of Me."
    Jesus is God.
    He is love.
    He is Grace.
    He is good.

Any passage that does not enforce or convey these fundamental facts about our God are not fully on the beam.   The Holy Spirit will enable you to put such statements in their proper context.
