The Holy Place was the front, larger room of the tent structure in the Tabernacle, accessible only to priests for daily service. It was separated from the outer court by a screen and from the Holy of Holies by a thick veil. It housed the golden lampstand, table of showbread, and altar of incense. -- AI
The Holy Place in a believer is his soul - mind, will and emotions.
Spirit Baptism is when the believer, whose Holy Of Holies is already occupied by the Holy Spirit, asks for and allows the Holy Spirit to enter their Holy Place - their soul.
When Spirit Baptism occurs the Holy Spirit in our Holy Of Holies enters into our Holy Place (soul) and we submit our minds and hearts to the Word and Holy Spirit as authority in our lives. Upon this asking and submitting, we are Spirit Baptized.
This submission is a one-time action in which the Holy Spirit baptizes us, but there will be multiple fillings by Him as our minds and hearts actually turn our attention to Him and we ask for a refreshing.
Being Spirit Baptized, having the Holy Spirit in our Holy Place, is necessary to understand the Truth of Jesus Christ. In Spirit Baptism the Holy Spirit has been given the authority to teach us the Word Of Truth, and so He does as we study the Word.
With the spiritual understanding of Truth provided by the Holy Spirit we are equipped to be teachers, preachers, witnesses, healers and deliverers to do the WorkOfChrist.
However, there is another layer of submission that determines the extent to which the Holy Spirit is able to work through us. We must allow the Holy Spirit into the Outer Court of our lives - what we speak and what we do - so that we actually minister to others rather than just being edified ourselves.
