➛ That leadership rejected Jesus, the Messiah, the Sacrifice, the Redeemer
➛ Jesus stripped Chosen People status from the nation of Israel for rejecting Him
➛ Without the living God, Jews turned to their tradition and materialism as god
➛ Their hatred of Christianity and turn toward materialism made them pawns of Satan
➛ Jews persecuted Christians and tried to stop Christianity from spreading
➛ Animosity between Jews and Christians built
➛ Clannishness and material success made non-Jews resent Jews
➛ Persecution of Jews became a recurring theme because of the animosity

In summary, they rejected the God who made them, leaving that God to reject them so that now their only god is Jewishness which is called Zionism incorporating their superiority-complex with an amoral pursuit of material success.
Acceptance by Christ is not conditional on how 'we' treat the secular nation of Israel.

Jews need to repent and turn to the Lord Jesus Christ just like every other human on earth. They can be saved but only one at a time by doing so.
