Are you talking at God or with God?
Old Testament style praying is totally out of place under Grace.
If you are filled with the Holy Spirit and you have received His Word then you should be praying to God in you - the Holy Spirit is God the Father, the Spirit Of Christ Jesus.
Formula prayers are offensive to the Holy Spirit Father in the same way you would offend a loving natural father by talking to him as if you had only a business relationship with him.
Remember, we are to "come boldly to the throne of Grace".
The throne is the Holy Spirit Father of Christ Jesus and the One sitting on that throne is our Lord Jesus Christ.
You are supposed to be in intimate, person relationship with Christ, so you should talk like it and act like it when you are addressing Him.
