In the beginning was the Soul, and the Soul was with the Lord, and the Soul was the Holy Spirit. Joh 1:1 What does it mean by in the beginning was the Word ?         ➛ A `word` is an expression of an idea.         ➛ An idea comes from a mind that is self-aware and able to think.         ➛ When a word is spoken it has a purpose and it often has an intensity or emotion connected with it.         ➛ Mind, will and emotions constitute a Soul.      So, the Soul Of God existed in the beginning.      What does it mean by the Word was with God ?         ➛ God is a Spirit    ➛ A spirit is the qualitative aspect of a being.     It represents the nature and value system of that being.         ➛ The spirit of a being is the essence of that being.         ➛ So, the Soul Of God was with the Spirit Of God in the beginning.      What does it mean by the Word was God ?         ➛ It means that the Soul Of God and the Spirit Of God constitute one divine being.      Joh 1:2 emphasizes the fact that the Soul Of God and the Spirit Of God existed in the beginning.      Joh 1:3 tells us that this God who is Soul and Spirit created all things.      Joh 1:10 tells us that Jesus made the world.      Joh 1:14 tells us that the Soul Of God, the Word, was made flesh and dwelt among us.     Now we have the Body Of God.     This is Jesus.      Heb 1:3 tells us that Jesus is the express image of God.      So, God is a single being who is Spirit Soul And Body just as man is who was created in His image Gen 1:26.         ➛ the Soul Of God,    ➛ the Spirit Of God and    ➛ the Body Of God constitute one God as is emphasized in Deu 6:4.      Word Creator In The Beginning

While Peter yet spoke these words, the Holy Spirit fell on all them which heard the word. Act 10:44 Spirit Baptism is a work of faith as is the case with all blessings from our Lord.     As Peter preached the Gospel of the kingdom the Holy Spirit quickened their mortal bodies and they begin to speak in tongues under the power of the Holy Spirit.      Notice that the Holy Spirit sanctioned what Peter said about the name of Jesus.     When Jesus is lifted up the Holy Spirit lifts up the lifters and those who hear and believe.      In this example of Peter and Cornelius all Christians should learn that there are no works of the flesh, no rituals, no protocols to be followed or catechisms to be learned in order for a person to enter the Kingdom Of God.         ➛ Hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ    ➛ Believe that Jesus is the incarnation of the Holy Spirit Father    ➛ Glorify Christ Jesus as Lord and Saviour    ➛ Be Born Again by Faith    ➛ Be Spirit Filled Anything that is added from this recipe is man-made, religious and, more than likely, a hindrance to people who are seeking the Lord.

And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Spirit. Act 10:45 Of The Circumcision refers to those believers who were still steeped in Judaism.     Such did not understand the parables of Jesus referring to new wine and new cloth.     Mat 9:16,17 Faith in Christ Jesus results in being born as a New Spirit being.     It is the creation of new cloth, new wine skin.     The new cloth should not be mingled with old cloth.     The new wine skin is for new wine.     That `new wine` is the Holy Spirit.      Paul makes a very serious point about Another Gospel in Gal 1:8,9 where he is addressing the same people whom Jesus forbade from mingling old cloth with new and from putting new wine in old bottles Mat 9:17,18 and the same people to whom the entire book of Hebrews is addressed and summarized in Heb 10:26.
