Title: Should we pray by formula or repeat prayers?

When Jesus was instructing His disciples how to pray, He had not yet sent them His Holy Spirit who prays through those whom He fills.

You can go Catholic if you want to but I suggest that you go Spirit And Truth and do as Jude said:
But you, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,
Pray in your Prayer Language to be strengthened spiritually, physically and mentally meditating on the Word Of The Lord on which your faith rests.

Paul said that he spoke with tongues more than all the people at corinth.     He was talking about exercising his Prayer Language.

If you do not consider that Jesus was an Old Testament Prophet as well as Messiah and Savior you are not rightly dividing the Word Of Truth.

I am not saying that the form of the Lord's prayer is wrong, I am simply saying that the Holy Spirit will tell you how to pray when He is in you.
Likewise the Spirit also helps our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
Praying In The Spirit is critical because of the dullness of our minds.     Our Prayer Language is a vehicle by which our infirmities are healed.

And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;
One of the fruit of the Spirit is temperance (self control).     Excess is to be avoided in all things but especially in those things which cloud our minds and subject us to Satan`s influence.

Being drunk is being under the influence.     Being sober is being clear headed.     Alcohol and drugs are not the only things that can bring one under the influence of Satan,

The Mystery Of God, the Mystery Of Christ is accomplished as we are filled with the Holy Spirit and serve Christ in His power

The Holy Spirit IS Eternal Life.     Receiving Him is receiving Eternal Life.     Apart from Him there is only death.

When Jesus talked about giving us life and life more abundantly, He was talking about giving us His Holy Spirit .
