But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who has warned you to flee from the wrath to come? Mat 3:7 John knew the religious folks were there just to critique what he was doing.

He that believes on the Son has everlasting life: and he that believes not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of the Lord abides on him. Joh 3:36 When a person believes on the Lord Jesus Christ the Holy Spirit, who is Everlasting Life Joh 17:3, enters them.      Those who never receive Christ Jesus as Saviour and Lord never receive the Holy Spirit, who is Everlasting Life Joh 17:3.      Such people will exist in opposition to the Truth experiencing fear, guilt, sickness, heartache and corruption with no access to the Saviour, the Healer, the Deliverer.     Wilful disconnection from the Lord is self-imposed wrath 2Pe 3:9.      All men fall into one of two categories:    ➛ 1) saved    ➛ 2) Lost Those who are saved have received Christ.      To receive Christ is to receive the Spirit Of Christ, His Holy Spirit.      The Holy Spirit is Everlasting Life Joh 17:3 Those who have not received Christ are lost.      The Lost can be further broken down as    ➛ those who have never heard the Gospel,    ➛ those who have heard the Gospel and rejected it.      It is the job of every Christian to make sure that the people in their life have heard the Gospel.      A big part of the Gospel is that every person will stand before the Lord Jesus Christ.      Those who have received Christ will enter into the joy of the Lord.      Those who have rejected Christ will be cast into the Lake Of Fire.

For the wrath of the Lord is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; Rom 1:18 To hold the Truth in unrighteousness is to disbelieve it or ignore it.     Such unbelievers will eventually experience the Wrath Of God in the White Throne Judgment.     However, there is also the Wages of sin to experience.     Furthermore the benefits of Grace are not available to unbelievers.

Or despise you the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of the Lord leads you to repentance? Rom 2:4 When we short change the Lord`s love, grace and mercy to others we undermine our own standing before the Lord in love, grace and mercy.

But after your hardness and impenitent heart treasure up unto yourself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of the Lord; Rom 2:5 We must show mercy to receive mercy.     We must forgive in order to be forgiven.

Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. Rom 5:9 Being justified implies we have already been judged and found innocent through the blood of Jesus.     So, there is no wrath in our future.      The greatness of Christ`s accomplishment for us is almost too good to be true.     It is why our lives are to be filled with His praise and glory for all eternity.

Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. Eph 2:3 We used to be this way, in bondage to the flesh having no spiritual understanding.      Children Of Wrath are the lost - all people who have not been Born Again.

Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things comes the wrath of the Lord upon the children of disobedience. Eph 5:6 Vain words is the expression of ideas that conflict with the Word Of The Lord.      Deceit comes from entertaining those ideas that conflict with the Word Of The Lord.     If a person does not know the Word of the Lord there are very susceptible.      Even if a person knows the Word of the Lord they are still susceptible because of the wiles of Satan.     Eve knew the Word of the Lord but she allowed Satan to misquote it and did not immediately detect his lie and intent.      Those who reject the Truth of the Lord are pushovers for the lying, deceiving Satan.     They will immediately and completely be deceived by Him.      Deceit is for the purpose of destruction.     Satan comes to steal, kill and destroy and he deceives to accomplish his purposes.      The Wrath Of God is the destruction that is called the Wages Of Sin and it comes upon all those who sin.

For which things` sake the wrath of the Lord comes on the children of disobedience: Col 3:6 If we don`t bring our bodies under control we suffer the wages of sin which is death.
