I do believe that such statements indicate He rejected Judaism though He fulfilled all the Law to make its nullification (legalism) effective.   

Paul, received (from Christ Jesus) the details of what Christianity is.   He wrote that "old things have passed away and all things have become new", "that which is old is ready to pass away".   

Jesus said you do not put new wine in old bottles.   

Judaism rejected Jesus and killed Him to destroy His teachings.   

Jesus most definitely created the "religion of relationship" in which each of us receive His Grace, His Word and His Holy Spirit and become One with Him.   

Jews are currently under the curse of unbelief which is the same curse that non-Jews are under who have not believed on Jesus as Mighty God, Savior, Lord and King.   

The Jews fulfilled their 'chosen' role when Jesus was born of Mary thus fulfilling the promise that through Abraham's seed all the earth would be blessed.   

Those who believe in Christ Jesus are the true children of Abraham by faith.
