Light enables us to see things as they are.   
Darkness prevents us from seeing things as they are.   

When we see things as they are we are in truth.   
When we are mistaken about what we see we are in error.   

So, the Power Of Darkness is the power of error and the fact that the error is not seen as error due to the absence of light.   

The darker it is, the greater the error that manifests.   

And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. Joh 3:19 Jesus has forgiven all sin.     But the sin of unbelief in that fact condemns the unbeliever to hell.      Why is such a free and loving gift rejected by so many?         ➛ They are rebellious by nature and they love sin.      And that attitude makes them enemies of good.      Those who allow evil to reign in their lives prefer the cover of darkness so they do not have to see the truth.     They also prefer others to be in darkness so those do not see the wickedness either.

So, those in darkness prefer darkness and seek out those who are also in darkness and the error that comes out of it.   

In this way darkness is a magnet to attract those who prefer the illusions of life over the reality of life.   

Darkness itself is an illusion as it is nothing more than the absence of light.   

Who has delivered us from the power of darkness, and has translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: Col 1:13 This is speaking of the New Birth in which we become New Spirit beings In Christ.     To read this verse and think about our soul or body leads to confusion and doubt.      When we receive Christ Jesus our souls may feel a little different but our bodies feel absolutely no different.      What should happen in the New Birth is that our New Spirit begins to dominate our soul and body.     This means that the Holy Spirit and the Word Of The Lord begin to transform our natural mind to conform to the Mind Of Christ which is in our New Spirit.      Our New Spirit, which is one with the Holy Spirit, should take dominion over our soul and body.     In this new orientation, the Eternal Life that is in our spirit will begin to manifest Abundant Life in our soul and body.      In our soul we experience and manifest the love, joy, peace, faith, meekness, goodness, self control, gentleness and longsuffering of the Holy Spirit fruit.      In our body we experience health and vitality as the Holy Spirit quickens it.      The total effect is that we become witnesses to and ministers of the Grace of the Lord Jesus Christ wherever we go and to whomever we meet.     This is the Kingdom Life.
